I found a hair in my curry during my recent visit, which was extremely off-putting and unacceptable. I tried to bring it to the attention of the store, but unfortunately, there was no response or attempt to address the issue. Basic hygiene should be a priority, and customer concerns should not be ignored. Very disappointed with both the food safety and the lack of accountability.
The best Biryani I’ve had in London, hands down!nMe and my family travel all the way from South London just to eat at Charminar Restaurant — that’s how good it is! Their authentic Hyderabadi Biryani is full of flavour and reminds us of home. The Malai Chicken is super creamy and delicious, and Chicken 65 with Rumali Roti is my absolute favourite combo.nAlso, don’t miss their Double Ka Meetha — it was so rich and perfectly made!nSpecial shoutout to Ibrahim from the staff — really helpful and kind.nOne-stop spot for proper Hyderabadi food. Highly recommend!
I order a mutton biriyani but the restaurant people served me fly biriyani makhi biriyani it was very embarrassing for me as I took two of my friends there for lunch and they vomited as the place and when I contacted the person in charge he said he will check and get back to me but no use. Who ever want to eat makhi biriyani go to charminar
I recently visited Charminar Restaurant on Katherine Road, East Ham, and had a great experience with their flavorful biryani. I tried the Chicken Biryani, which was perfectly cooked with fragrant rice, tender chicken, and a beautiful blend of spices that made every bite delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, just the way a good biryani should be.nnI also ordered the Talawa Gosht, which had a nice taste but was overly oily and salty . The excess oil made it difficult to enjoy, and I personally found it too heavy. If they could reduce the oil content, it would definitely be a much better dish.nnOne thing I would highly recommend from their menu is their dessert – the Fruit Custard. It has always been my favorite, and they prepare it really well with a creamy texture and just the right amount of sweetness.nnThe service was friendly and efficient, which added to the overall experience. However, the ambiance is quite basic, and the restaurant has a small seating capacity of around 16-18 people, so it can feel a bit cramped during busy hours.nnOverall, if you’re visiting Charminar, I would highly recommend their biryani and desserts. While the Talawa Gosht wasn’t to my taste due to the oiliness, their biryanis truly stand out in terms of flavor. If you’re in the area and craving a good plate of biryani, this is definitely a place to check out!
The food was quite sufficient – we tried the Mandi Biryani, which was more than enough for six people. All of us ate to our full and were very satisfied. The dish included rice, Chicken 99, and a few chicken pieces. We also tried three desserts – the Cream Malila was a must-try, especially the mango and lychee flavours. Additionally, the chilli chicken was decent.nnHowever, I would kindly request the owner to train the staff on basic serving etiquette. They seemed unsure about how to serve or follow up with customers. The service was quite slow – after waiting for 25 minutes, we asked about our order, and the staff member simply responded with “as soon as possible,” which felt dismissive. It then took another 20 minutes for the food to be served.nnThe person in the attached picture provided particularly poor service, but in general, the entire team could benefit from proper training.
