Dickens Lounge Bar

Always come in here before and after any game at Murrayfield. Proper pub with proper people, behind and in front of the bar. My sort of pub. Owners are really friendly and decent, genuine people. Always get a great welcome and never need to wait long to get served. Love that I chanced upon the place and will always make a point of visiting anytime I'm in Edinburgh. The only downside is that I live about 55 miles away so not sure how long it would take me to walk home, otherwise this would 100% be my local. No enough pubs like it.

What an amazing welcome from a great bunch of staff. They made our stay in Edinburgh brilliant, so friendly and welcoming!! It's the best pint of strongbow I've ever had!!

Almost city centre prices but pints are decent quality. Pub is rammed on match days and the decor is definitely on the 'needs updating' scale.

We had a fantastic time in this pub at new year, all the people from the pub made us all feel very welcome.

Great wee friendly pub,even had pizza and domino games lovely bar staff too .

Prices great 35ml for spirts place is a friendly place clean owner and partner friendly welcoming would drink in there again for sure

We use this bar 3 or 4 times a year when visiting for rugby. having used Diane's bar until it closed. Great staff who are always very friendly. Well kept Guinness at great Edinburgh prices and the regulars always give us a warm welcome. Look forward to seeing everyone again next week!

Cracking wee pub. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Then a horse Dickens won at Nottingham at 2/1. Enjoyable time and £50 up. Happy days x
