"Ryrie’s is one of Edinburgh’s oldest public houses occupying a central position at Haymarket. A Listed Historic Building, it is noted for its fine baronial details, Scottish renaissance style wooden pub front, leaded and stained glass windows and fine detailed carved bar gantry. It is independently owned and an entirely free house, specialising in real ale and the best that Scotland produces."
Very cosy tradition pub, right near the train station and main area of Haymarket. Lots of beers to taste and I expect lots of choices with other drinks. Lovely atmosphere, bar snacks/starters available to order.
FANTASTIC PUB; a ‘proper pub’. Next to the train station so perfect for the traveller there’s even live train times on a screen behind the bar, hosting a warm welcome and great local beers. The bar man was more than happy to let me taste a few beers and was very knowledgeable about the beer. Great atmosphere when I was there no music, just pub chatter but it can get busy at the bar. Would recommend to anyone who likes beer.
A Scottish renaissance style public bar. Located near the center of Edinburgh, at the Haymarket area. This public bar offers decent dishes and a variety of ales, and yes, also 39 kind of Scottish whiskies on the shelf. The ambience is right if you are visiting on the right time. The wodden accent within the bar is ornate and warm. The price is medium-ranged.
Disclaimer: They only serve frozen food! Mostly a drinking place. Chill and laid back vibes. We were starving to had to order. The bathroom is beautiful!!! Can go for a drink with friends and watch a match.
A lovely little pub right beside the train station and tram/ bus stop. Ideal if you want to have something to eat before or after travelling. The staff are very friendly and the food is really good and very reasonably priced.
Is a good place to enjoy a beer, or maybe some while you see the timetable of the trains. The style of the pub is like the very old pubs you can find in other parts of Edinburgh, but new, because they opened last month. In my opinion some prices are overpriced but pub is quit fancy too, so is up to the visitor.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere during the week. I'd imagine it would be popular at the weekends. Good value for money, 3 sharing platters for £13.95. Decent portions. Try it!
Really nice pub with a modern traditional feel. Probably the biggest selection of craft beers I've seen in Edinburgh. Must be around 10 on offer. Had a pint of Leith Juice which was excellent.
Really nice bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice range of drinks on tap too. Upstairs was lovely and quote quiet which suited us. Down stairs had a much more lively vibe which was also nice! Overall recommend!
Homey pub with the locals. Highly recommend the Thistly Cross whiskey cask cider they had on tap. The food was wonderful.
