This shop really needs to be brought up to the standards of other leading high street brands, decor that is. It feels neglected. It reminds me of an Bhs store from the 90's. The ground and first floor feel claustrophobic but then the top floors feel empty. Better signage needs to be put in place or you'll end up going up and down the floors all the time. You could ask a member of staff, if you can find one. Saying that I did visit quite late in the day which may have had something to do with it. If you're wanting to shop in Debenhams just go to Monks Cross.

This store is a Debenhams. If you go here expecting a Marks & Spencers or maybe a Harrods you will be disappointed. It is not one of these. It is a Debenhams. Debenhams is a Department store so within it you have different departments that sell different things unless the departments are close together in which case they may sell the same thins or things of a similar nature.

Had visit to York branch during school holiday. Very small. Had difficulty in finding staff to serve customers. Still managed a few bargains though.

Nice new shop. Good coffee. Rest of the place is full and uninspiring.

This is the Debenhams that is located in the centre of York, and it's not a great one. It's very small for a department store, and there's no homeware section in it at all. Very disappointing to visit.
