A beautiful little cafe serving gorgeous and healthy food. We loved our flat bread and olive with walnut salad. Pleasant surprise service too.
Lovely cafe with great food! Stopped off here for a late breakfast. They had lots of choices on the menu, including gluten free and vegan options. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Delicious! Generous portion. Waiting staff were friendly and polite. Quick service. They also had a lovely cake display with a range of options, including to take away which was great as I was full after my breakfast! Would definitely recommend.
Just what Boroughbridge needed! I never leave reviews but on this occasion, I feel I need to... What a great place for brunch! The food is fantastic, the coffee is to die for and the place was buzzing with customers! Saturday 1st Oct. The new branding and menu has really brought it back to life, whilst still keeping the cosy atmosphere. It is still the same staff and owner so as ever the service is friendly and welcoming. In my opinion its is now 100% the best place in and around Boroughbridge to visit for a bite to eat and drink. Well done everyone at Fourth Stone, you should be really proud of yourselves!
Called in for lunch today. Very quiet with few customers but took quite a while to get served as the chef was busy! It has been done out very nicely since being taken over but was cold. Where was the lovely roaring fire of old? But the food when it came was good and enjoyed by all. I will think twice before coming again. Shame!
Very disappointing. We have been regular users when this was Bean but today was the first visit under the Fourth stone branding. Slow service and it was very cold inside, but the main issue was there was no option other than sourdough bread or white baps. I along with many other diabetics can not eat white bread. They have no consideration for dietary requirements. Amazing in this day and age. We left and went to another venue in Boroughbridge. There is plenty of choice Now.
This place is amazing, perfect location Boroughbridge is a beautiful place, cosy decor, friendly staff and the food was amazing. Very reasonably priced too, I could not recommend this place more. Loved it, we will definitely be going again
Stopped by for a late cup of tea and cake. Service was great and still plenty of good food. Our party tried the coffee, regular and speciality tea. All good. Access is a little tight and there is a step down into the main café area. Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian and some vegan. Kid-friendliness: They are welcome. Parking: Parking in the town square on limited time in the adjacent streets.
Visited with a friend for the first time since the rebrand and we were really impressed! Yummy menu, friendly staff, cosy sofas, and the brownies were just incredible! Will definitely be back again One minor suggestion would be to see if you can get wifi for customers as neither of us had mobile reception inside and it would be useful for being able to work etc
Amazing cafe, had thought of everything. Really welcoming to my dog and my loud, excitable baby! Lovely toasties, delicious coffee and yummy cake! Vegetarian options: Plenty of delicious veggie options in big and small meals. Happy to customise. Kid-friendliness: Good baby change facilities and high chairs, plenty of room for buggies. Didn't mind the noise! Sofas for breatfeeding.
Delicious food, great atmosphere but service left a lot to be desired. Leaving the kids without a manager to run the place did not work well. At one point I wondered if I was on a comedy docu series - Below Deck meets Fawtly Towers. Favourite moment was seeing staff scooping cream off a drink with their fingers before serving it to a customer. Great entertainment.
