We're a real family club here, with amazing facilities to help both adults and kids stay fit and healthy, and have fun too. Not only do we have a great gym, exercise studios and an indoor pool, we've got a heated outdoor pool, lots of tennis courts, spa facilities and a fantastic kids' club too.

Went in there this afternoon while visiting from London. The staff were very nice and helpful, with the receptionist being really accommodating. It’s always nice when the staff welcome and see you off with a smile. I used the gym, which was very clean, as was the changing rooms/showers. Afterwards, I got a protein shake, where the staff again were very helpful and sorted my order out quickly. Lovely gym with a lively clubroom. Will definitely go again when I’m up!

David Lloyd Newcastle is one of my favourite David Lloyd clubs. The facilities are great, in particular the swimming pool which is kept at a perfect temperature for distance swimming. The team are always friendly and give members a warm welcome

Great overall experience. You pay a premium, but this does include quite a lot of extras including pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, fresh towels. The premium price seems to mean the stereotypical "meatheads" that frequent other gyms are not present. Gym has recently had a refurb with very nice machines that have a lot of connectivity options/games etc. The classes are good, just have to book well in advance as they are popular.  The place is always clean and tidy, café has a great selection of food options including Vegetarian/Vegan. Staff are very polite and friendly as well as the other members I've spoken to, just overall a good vibe and experience. Only fault I can find is with the David Lloyd App - occasionally crashes and needs to be rebooted/reinstalled but I'm sure they will figure it out eventually.

Suspended membership on health grounds. Still charged us the suspension fee even though there should be no fee. Took ages to resolve.

I love this gym! Has everything and more, the classes are great and the people and staff are lovely

Just returned from attending Aqua party. Congratulations to all involved. A really enjoyable evening. Well done.

Joined under a membership that wasn’t sold to me honestly, very poor communication between the club and customer services, nobody got back to me for 3 months regarding my membership increasing by 50 pounds per month. Finally ended up cancelling my direct debit that’s when someone decided to contact me. They advised they would get in touch at a further date, next correspondence was from debt collectors. I cleared the month payment I owed on the same day of correspondence and Mark the general manager advised me that there was nothing outstanding. I’ve just now had a call from the debt collecting agency asking for the money that mark said was no longer owed.  No communication, No ethics, No sign of customer service. 0/10

it's the first time I've come here as a guest was very nice day. I think I'll come back

Came as guest today to David Loyd with my kids.  We had  a great day. We all enjoyed it veery much. Amelia on the reception  was super helpful and friendly.  Definitely  will come back again.

Wow I didn't realise companies could be so rude when they want to charge you triple figures for gym membership. Inept and inadequate staff alongside the recent spate of 1star reviews meant my boyfriend and I stared well clear. By the sounds a lucky escape
