Absolutely love the David Lloyd Bristol Westbury centre. The facilities are excellent! clean, modern, and really well maintained. The gym is spacious with a great range of equipment, and the pool and spa areas are a real highlight.nnThe staff are consistently friendly, professional, and always happy to help, which makes a huge difference. Classes are well organised with knowledgeable instructors who keep things motivating and inclusive.nnIt has a great atmosphere overall! welcoming, relaxed, and never feels intimidating. Whether you’re there to train hard, unwind, or do a bit of both, this club delivers. Highly recommend.
After struggling to find a professional space that allows me to workout, relax and work, I think I have now found the one. Joel was great and took extra time explaining what DL had to offer, the recent refurbishment and showing me around the new facilities. Great customer service and going the extra mile can often be the deciding factor!
Just joined at the David Lloyd Westbury club which I was taken back by. The staff were all so super friendly, Lynn on reception was great and Jordan Rogers in sales was amazing and really completed the whole end to end experience. The state of the art facilities and recent refurbishment is what sold me to join but the people, both Jordan and Lynn are what really made the experience special. Would highly recommend. Very happy family!
I come to David Lloyd a couple of times every week with my friends, and the clubroom has become our usual place to relax and spend time together. Over time, we’ve come to know the staff well, and they truly make this place feel special.nnWe are quite a big group and often need food and drinks, yet the team is always incredibly helpful, patient, hardworking, and welcoming. They are consistently smiling and go out of their way to make sure we are well looked after.nnI would especially like to mention a few wonderful people:nnEmily, for her kind heart , beautiful smile and small friendly chats with everyone;nnDana, for her speed, responsibility, and amazing skills in the kitchen, at the counter, and around the clubroom;nnHarriet, for always being so friendly and cheerful;nnLucy, for her great sense of humour and excellent service;nnMiah, for being so efficient and professionalnnand Becky, for her quiet and reliable efficiency.nnThe clubroom is always clean, organised, and ready, even during the busiest times. There are always managers around to make sure everything runs smoothly, which really shows in the quality of service.nnI know I have forgotten some names, I apologise — this review is simply to say how amazing you all are and how much I truly appreciate everything you do in such a busy environment.nnThank you so much to the whole team.
£209 per person per month for Platinum membership is frankly outrageous, especially given what you actually get at David Lloyd Westbury.nnDespite paying for Platinum which supposedly includes spa access, if you’re Platinum at another branch, don’t expect to use the spa here. Guests aren’t allowed in the spa either. The only way around this is to either:nnBe on a 2025 Platinum contract penalising long-standing, loyal members, ornnTransfer your membership to Westbury and pay an extra £40 per month — and even then, no spa guests allowed.nnSo what’s the point of having membership tiers at all if there are unspoken sub-tiers that aren’t communicated upfront? The lack of transparency and clear communication is unacceptable for a premium-priced gym.nnAnd let’s talk about standards. For £209 a month, I’d expect basic hygiene to be a given. The female toilets still smell like a sewage works, and I didn’t see staff actively cleaning gym equipment during visits.nnThis is a company that reportedly made £32 million in profit in 2024, likely more in 2025 — yet members are paying more for less, while facilities fall short.nnHow about sticking to the advertised tier system, maintaining clean facilities, and being honest with members?nnAdios, David Lloyd. We will no longer be members.
