David James have rested on their laurels for years and I think they only have business due to their location. We invited them to value our property and they significantly undervalued it compared to other agents. We felt they were just interested in a quick sale for their benefit. Thankfully, we used a fantastic local estate agent in Arnold who sold for £30k more than David James valuation and within 6 months!

Would just like to mention how lovely Claire is. Every time she does our inspection shes a pleasure to have round. Really friendly and nothings too much for her. Always welcome.

Michelle was really helpful when buying our first house. As first time buyer being unsure of the process, we ended up emailing and calling Michele a fair few times as there were a few hiccups in the process. I honestly think that without Michele talking to everyone involved, we would have not have got the keys before Christmas. Michele even managed to get a gas safety inspection done in a day just before completion even though our solicitor had been asking the sellers solicitor for one for months.

The initial meeting with David Radford was very professional and he explained that the price had to be realistic. He knew the market for this area so well and I felt confident that we would have a sale soon. They were very efficient in putting the house on the market and the board went up very quickly. We had 35 viewings and on every occasion I had a follow up call from either Michelle, Lucy or Justine. All 3 members of staff were very knowledgable and were also able to gauge whether the viewing would proceed to an offer. Michelle in the office did most of the ground work and excelled in keeping in touch with the viewers and us. In the later stages she regularly contacted the other agents in the chain and also spoke to the buyers' solicitors in the chain. We knew exactly where we were and any delays were caused by the other buyers in the chain. I also liked the sales boards of David James as they are very distinctive and change from blue to red when the property is sold. Selling a house is a huge ordeal and David James made it easy. They even began to have a rapport with our buyers who now say that they would definitely recommend David James to any of their friends.
