Tom was incredibly helpful when I accidentally purchased the wrong item for my phone. He went out of his way to assist me in finding and buying the correct one. He’s a genuinely kind and patient person who absolutely deserves recognition for his excellent service and performance.
I was hoping to purchase some headphones for Christmas present, only half a dozen on display. Unfortunately I opted to buy a pair that they only had a card on display that you take to the till. I asked the sales assistant could I take a look at them, and was told no its a sealed box. And once opened could only be returned if faulty, so wasn't able to feel the weight and see the quality of what I was buying so took my custom elsewhere. I Wouldn't recommend this store staff are not customer service friendly, to busy chatting to each other and dont want to be disturbed by the general public. Do yourselves a favour and save yourself sometime and find yourself a store, where the staff are pleased to see you and happy to help that offers good customer service. Because this store fails on all the above.
Big shout out to Tom, who, before he helped me was very evidently doing his absolute best to help another customer, and then in a couple of minutes helped me out quickly too.nnGreat service, rare in a big box store.
Very disappointed with this store. I bought a laptop from this branch, paid for it in full, and was told I could collect it from the Preston branch the next day. However, the transaction somehow went wrong the money left my account, but I didn’t receive the laptop.nnI was then told they would refund me, but it’s been over a week and I’ve been chasing them non-stop. Every time I call, they online team asks me to go to Bury branch and when I go to Bury Branch they tell me to speak to they online team. They keep passing me from one person to another, telling me to “speak to the branch” with no real help or solution. I’m left without my laptop and without my money.nnThis is absolutely unacceptable and extremely frustrating. I would strongly warn anyone to be very careful before buying from this company. Their customer service is shocking and no one seems to take responsibility and no one cares.
Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Currys in BurynnI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the extremely unprofessional and unacceptable customer service my family and I experienced today at your Currys store in Bury. I have been a loyal customer of Currys for nearly 12 years, and I have always appreciated the positive atmosphere and helpful staff. However, today’s experience was completely unacceptable.nnMy family and I arrived at the store at approximately 15:45 and stayed until around 17:00. During this entire time, we received no proper assistance and were left frustrated, uncomfortable, and extremely disappointed. Even now, while writing this complaint, I still do not feel good and am very upset about what happened.nnTwo staff members were directly responsible for this negative experience: staff A and staff Bwearing a green high-vis vest.nnFirst staff was not only unhelpful but also disrespectful in his attitude. His strong smell of cigarette smoke made the interaction unpleasant. Furthermore, he interfered and prevented another staff member—who was genuinely trying to help us—from assisting. His behavior was highly unprofessional.nnSecond staff also displayed very poor customer service. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and far below the standards expected at Currys.nnBoth of these staff members upset not only me but also my family. They wasted over an hour of our time, even though we had gone to the store with the intention of purchasing a laptop for my 14-year-old son. He was very excited and happy about buying a laptop today, but after what happened, he became very upset and said, “Dad, I don’t want you to buy a laptop for me from this store.”nnTo make matters worse, the store manager provided no support. His behavior was completely unprofessional and irresponsible. Instead of resolving the situation, he caused even more frustration for my family. He refused to cooperate, offered no assistance, and repeatedly avoided giving us the names of the two staff members involved. I had to ask him multiple times before he reluctantly provided the information. This lack of accountability from the manager was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.nnFurthermore, we originally planned to purchase several additional items, including a dishwasher and a television for the bedroom. However, due to the extremely poor behaviour and unprofessional service from the staff members mentioned above, we were completely discouraged and decided not to proceed with any of these purchases. This resulted in a direct loss of potential sales for your store.nnI would like to express my sincere gratitude to a staff member named Ameer. He genuinely tried his best to help us, guide us, and ensure that my family could leave the store satisfied. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, he was unable to complete the sale because the other two staff members prevented him from doing so. His professionalism and positive attitude were the only bright parts of this visit.nnAfter being a loyal customer for nearly twelve years and purchasing many items from your stores, I never expected such disrespectful treatment from both staff and management. This experience has left a very negative impression on all of us.nnI hope Currys management takes this matter seriously and ensures proper training, supervision, and accountability so that no other customer or family has to experience what we went through today.24/11/2025
