I Would like to say a MASSIVE Thank You to the staff at PC world bury, specifically Edward and Emily... I recently went in store to purchase a medium Priced gaming laptop, due to the fact their hardware/software is a bit better than your standard laptop, but when Emily asked what games i will use it for, she shook her head and was like, nooo your just wasting money, you dont need it blah blah blah, and hardware wise, for what i needed, Emily found a great laptop at under half the price... She wasnt just being a typical retail sales person who tries to make you spend more, she was a caring and kind hearted person who genuinely has the customers best interest at heart. Then when i seen what finance options i got accepted for, i kicked myself for not just getting the better one... But no problem, Emily then called Edward over who dealt with finance cancellation and was able to offer great advice as well informing me of the pros/cons to both laptops, like one having an OLED screen and one being 64 bit and one being this the other being that, he then double checked i wanted to go through with this as he also said i can save money the other way and they dont want me disappointed if i regret making the wrong decision as you have a 14 day period of refunds and exhcanges etc. Again, not just thinking of a sale but also wanting the customer to have the most efficent use of their laptop, in regards to how heavy they can be, battery life, brightness levels etc. All in all, i was there for over an hour even when the store closed at 8pm, they were more than happy having stayed till 8:30pm just to see a satisfied customer. I honestly cant say enough about these 2 people, they were amazing and they definitely have my recommendations aswell as future purchases like a dvd player or tv etc. I hope they know who this review came from lol as in late posting it, i said it would be done on thursday after making my collection in store haha but its now sunday. Once again, thank you to Emily and Edward for being outstanding people, i applaud you <3
Emily is a credit to this company and was amazing! I am more new to laptops and not the most confident, she was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me as well as 100% honest with her recommendations. I could not have asked for anyone more kind and helpful to have served. Me, thank you so much Emily!
Purchased from other branches and had great service, but this branch was terrible. The male assistant approached us and asked if he could help. Explained we required 4 large kitchen appliances and he mentioned they could be purchased on finance. I Explained we would be paying in full using a debit card, suddenly he had no interest and said I'll leave you to decide what you want then walked off. We left the store and purchased on line from other retailer. Poor attitude which needs improving, the TV adverts make out they are interested in helping customers to pick the right products. Sorry Currys we purchased a double oven, 5 ring gas hob, cooker hood and dishwasher elsewhere. Also he advised us not to purchased HOTPOINT dishwasher, saying they were unreliable.
Had to come to Bury branch as the Laptop I wanted was only in at this branch . A few of the staff was with customers and seemed to be giving good service. 2 totally ignored us and the one we did get help had no interest. To be fare I would not of been to that branch if Currys had a policy of keeping stock in but like Argos most of the advertised goods are just to get you in .
Don't think I have every recieved such poor customer service before today at Currys Bury. The staff are extremely critical of the management team and I can understand why when they give no support to the sales team when issues arise. I was one of a queue of customers complaining about the poor service they were receiving. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this store , if anything goes wrong they will not look to resolve any issues you may have and will just refer you to the online support department. Went to Currys Oldham who dealt with our issue, they resolved it in store, in a prompt and friendly manner at the same time.
Great buy here in store, Mike in the Bury store is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I wasn't sure which Bluetooth earphones to get and he helped me and I love them! Thanks Mike!
Went to the Bury store looking for some headphones. 3 members of staff were dealing with one complaint and another was taking snapchats of the empty shop. Standing like a lemon waiting for one of the staff members to help me I approached the Snapchat guy who pretty much just shrugged his shoulders. Will not be back. Terrible customer service avoid.
Bought a Samsung fridge freezer £599.00.As I returned a cheap one being sharp edges on back. This is worse than the first one. As my baby is constantly pulling the plug wire out. And putting his hand in open back space where all parts fitted. I Reed on curry's website new fridge freezer should be all covered on the back. Been curry's constantly complaining nothing being done all the bullet point about thus fridge freezer is not correct. As food doesn't stay frozen if power cut or out. Rip offs. Also on purchasing this the young sales assistant said to me if a customer won the promotion of a product purchased he wouldn't tell them and keep it. Think he was called Lee. Staff need retraining on professionalism and how to deal with a customer. Waited a very lengthy amount of time for help many staff members walking past or chatting to their colleagues. Wanted a certain tv that suited my needs and explained this to the staff member. He did not take this on board and started to say I should have a wall mount which I said I didn’t want. Staff member then started to dance and said ‘wall mounts move like this!’ Very rude and unprofessional go to the bolton store instead!!
Items available in store but having to wait for it to be delivered to find out its now delayed. Customer services advised there systems are limited they can not help I just have to wait
