Stunning views and decent service coupled with a decent selection of real ale. Staff friendly and welcoming. A fantastic choice for a country pub to get away from it all.

My new favorite pub!!
Cozy pub that manages to do great food but stay welcoming if you just want a drink.

Parked nearby and went for a bracing walk down to Chichester Harbour -about a two hour round trip ending back at this very nice pub. Didn’t book in advance but I would recommend it as this place was very popular for Sunday lunches. All four meals were very tasty, it’s definitely at the gastro end of pub food with some fancy touches in keeping with the location, like seaweed and samphire accompanying some of the main courses.
Fish and chips was great, burger was good (pink in the middle as it should be) and the tiger prawns were delicious. Beer selection is a bit average but the Young’s Bitter on draft was decent.
Not cheap, but you’re paying a bit extra for a great view, so try and get a window seat.
Service was very friendly if a little slow -about 50 minutes to get our main course, but this was during the main Sunday lunch service so perhaps to be expected
