Never felt so uncomfortable being inside a shop, despite the fact I’ve been coming here for ages! My husband and I often come here, however that will be no more. I bought him a jacket which was extensively damaged so I ask to speak to the managers, both of whom were extremely rude, disinterested, and patronising. Very unhelpful. Shame to see the shop going downhill as I usually like shopping here. Won’t be returning until things change internally and systemically.
The only good thing was the door was opened for me in arrival. Never IN MY LIFE have I experienced such disrespect and judgement. Clearly they expect you to “look” and “dress” a certain way to be in the shop. Seeing the staff going in the changing rooms to vape and just sat laughing about god knows what, hearing some of the girls talking badly about the young lad on the door! So i asked for the manger and I was greeted with “what do you want” by what I can only say was a VERY insecure little boy. Blatantly looking me up and down and speaking to me in a VERY patronising way. This shop used to be golden however I will never return.
If I could give this a zero star I would. Who the hell do these think they are I was looking round the shop they follow you everywhere then as I was walking out I heard over the walki talki a bracelet has gone check her bag wow !!! My Zara bag I was carrying was searched obviously finding nothing as I am not a thief but wow !!! I would much rather give selfriges my money than Justine the sour faced woman who can’t even crack a smile what a horrible shop to shop at think you are better than people and all your customers you have just spend there drug money in there.
Manager was rude. Opened the store late. Denied entry because he was insecure and assumed I had a problem ? Would have spent a lot of money in store very unprofessional and clearly insecure shouldn’t be in customer service. Will not be spending money here ever again as I WAS a loyal customer and have spent a lot of money in this store staff are usually very nice and helpful SHAME.
Went into the store yesterday to look at purchasing a tshirt and while browsing i had some absolute whopper following me round the shop like i was gonna rob something!. To say i felt so uncomfortable and judged is an understatement when i voiced my concerns to the lady at the counter her response was "oh i'm sorry about that he's not thinking straight". Oh right so that makes it ok for him to follow customers round the store making them feel uncomfortable and made to feel like they don't belong in the store!!!! Take my advice avoid this joke of a shop at all costs if your not a footballer,tv personality or someone famous you get treated like you don't belong in there or a thief
Awful customer service. Purchased a dress from store which I was not able to wear for more than 10 minutes due to the chain straps falling apart. Returned the item to store to explain the situation with receipt and item. Manager was very rude and confrontational about the whole situation. Told me there was no fault and no one else had any problems with the dress. Another manager then eventually and reluctantly agreed to send the item for repair. After months of no response, I got in contact and was told my personal details had been lost. The dress was sent back to me and not fixed at all and they could not supply me with any documentation that it had been sent off. I didn’t bother going back into store to avoid another encounter with the rude staff. I also highly doubt they would of done anything about it so would rather not even waste my time. I would recommend to buy your high end items at a more reputable company with some level of customer service.
Totally agree with the comments about the arrogant older guy in the store. Looked us up and down as if we weren't good enough to be in the store. Had some decent quality products but the manager guys attitude was poor. Put us off spending. May I suggest some training in politeness.
I shop here often and the staff are always happy to help me. And the “older guy” was nothing short of being a gentleman in my opinion. I know everyone’s experience can vary! But my experience is nothing but positive to all the staff in cricket.
I was really disappointed when I came into the store the other day. I used to shop in Cricket years ago before it moved to the MetQuarter and popped in for a look last Sunday having recently moved back to Liverpool. I hard heard from a friend that they were holding the Teak Bottega pouch so I was keen to see as it’s been out of stock in a few places I’ve looked. My first impression was how poorly laid out the store was. They have a huge selection, but it’s to their detriment. The racks were crammed with clothes so it was hard to look at them, the shelves were also packed with shoes and bags, with what appeared to be no real care or attention. It felt like I was in a TK Maxx, not a luxury shopping outlet at all. Secondly the staff - no one came up to ask if I was looking for anything in particular or if I needed help. There was a few of them stood near the till chatting: I walked over to look at the jewellery near the counter and when I approached and walked around them they seemed to go suddenly go very quiet. Obviously I don’t know what they were or were not saying but it certainly felt uncomfortable: and again I was stood less than a meter from them and again no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. Needless to say I didn’t feel like I was welcome in the store and left shortly after. I’m someone who mixes their wardrobe, with high street and designer. I don’t buy more than 2/3 designer bags or shoes a year so sure, I’m not going to be their most lucrative customer. But what that does mean is that when I go luxury shopping, I’m not doing it in a whim. I’ve considered why I’m there and I’m not just going to drop £2.5k on a bag, just because. I expect to receive a level of service that matches the money I am prepared to spend. On this occasion I was left very disappointed and even though they did have the bag I was looking for I decided to leave it. I won’t go back to Cricket in future and my advice to others who are seeking a genuine luxury shopping experience, would be to avoid also.
Upon entering, I was met with a strong smell of smoke, amongst other substances ,which Wasn't the best start , having been here multiple times previously and having a good experience. Although this would usually send me straight back out the store, I needed to buy a gift for someone, I asked a member of staff if they had a size small in a top I was hoping to buy. 5 minutes later the same member of staff was stood there staring into space, so I walked out as i could see none of the staff were bothered to do anything and I was unwilling to ask a second time, this is not what I expect when entering a “high end” store. Worst shopping experience I’ve had in a long time. I won’t be returning anytime soon. I evenentually found what I was looking for in a nearby store called Flannels, which is a much better alternative as it’s a much nicer store, in a better area, with better staff.
