We attended Sundays giant arm knitting. The tutor Nessa was really calm and patient and so informative. We had a fabulous time. I have attended a few classes at tea and crafting it's a fabulous venue and jane is a great communicator about classes and sharing information before classes and follows up to make sure it went well. Highly recommend the venue and its classes. Can't wait to book another. X
We had a bit of a rocky start, as Vanessa was 30 minutes late arriving and the assembled group of would-be knitters were on the verge of leaving! trouble with public transport, and no direct contact details!. I'm SO glad that we didn't though, as this was one of the most fun evenings; and we all got to leave with a maybe not perfect! blanket. Vanessa was apologetic! helpful, informative and kind useful if you have 2 left arms!!. I would definitely recommend this class.
Really well organised and a great location for my baby shower party to meet. We enjoyed the crafting together and making a baby quilt. However for a minimum of 10 people and my party group of 15 people the room was quite small and unfortunately very warm on a hot day in London. There was air conditioning that was turned on once requested.
My sister and I had a really fun morning with Jane and 8 other ladies crafting our arm-knitted blankets. I would thoroughly recommend it, with a friend, as a group or even on your own. The session was about 2hours long and very relaxed. Jane was very attentive and helped us all to cast on. As well as darting around the room to give individual assistance and answering all the questions fired at her, she also whipped up teas and coffees for us all. The session flew by and I am delighted with my chunky-knit blanket that now adorns the foot of my bed. A word of advice - make sure you spend a penny before starting as, once you get going, there is no release from the massive ball of wool until you’re done!
I attended the calligraphy course at Tea and Crafting with Anthea last night. Anthea was so knowledgeable and patient. I left proudly clutching my efforts which were way better than I ever expected for a first attempt! She gave plenty of useful advice about pursuing the art along with a gift bag full of goodies to practice with. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would love to do a follow up course if one came up
We had a fantastic time at Tea and Crafting crochet’s class. It was fun, informative and our teacher Savvy was lovely. The pace was perfect, allowing us to learn a few techniques and make a granny square. Jane was extremely communicative and kind when organising the class. The space is beautiful too. 10/10
Thank you to Tea and Crafting for a wonderful bird feeder crafting event! Our participants had a fantastic time learning new skills and creating beautiful bird feeders. The setting was perfect and the atmosphere was lovely. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I attended the Macrame Wallhanging workshop with Shelly. The course was great for a beginner - well-paced and good fun. I attended another macrame workshop and made a plant hanger. I highly recommend Tea and Crafting for getting you started on a new hobby.
I didn’t imagine it was possible to make a case bound notebook in one short class before I did this course, but that’s exactly what we did. Everyone came away with a beautiful, unique notebook of their own making which looked as good as any from a shop, if not better! Kate was a fantastic teacher - everything was explained and demonstrated clearly, with the class being well-paced and assistance given if required. The materials provided were superb quality and everyone had their own set of professional tools to use during the class. I’d never tried bookbinding of any kind before and I was delighted with what I accomplished. I’d absolutely recommend this course to anyone who enjoys making things, appreciates beautiful books/stationery or gets a sense of accomplishment hand crafting something personal, unique and special. The venue was a little cramped, and was quite hot on the day as it was rather warm outside but these didn’t really detract from the course. It was quite a quiet and peaceful activity and the tea and cake element was a bit superfluous and tricky to accommodate for this particular class although I can imagine for other activities it would be a fun addition.
Signed up for the beginner's crochet course. Something I had never been able to master, despite hours of watching YouTube videos! Cherry was so patient and clear in her instructions, it was brilliant. She painstakingly showed us the basic stitches, and I have now mastered them! A new skill learned, in a positive and gentle environment. Highly recommended, and thank you!
