Very bad experience with international delivery. I ordered several products, including two fine silver sheets. After almost one month, they arrived in Romania. I had to pay the custom duties, but I found later that those silver sheets were not in the package. So I lost around 100$ and a lot of time. Thank you, cooksongold!
Great firm and stock, one of the oldest in the industry and enormous company. BUT counter service overrun with students & hobbyists leaving long waiting times for professionals who have to wait in line. Its not possible to order everything online in a tactile industry so professionals do need to hold & touch & look. Most occasions be prepared for a long wait.
The absolute WORST staff and service; the Hatton Garden branch will make sure you have the slowest service possible even if there are zero customers in the shop . And the staff are so clueless about the products they are selling you are better off not even engaging in a conversation with them. It makes me angry just thinking about going to pick up supplies from cooksons.
While the products are of excellent quality, the snails pace at which they conduct Buissiness makes any of my visits to cooksons feel like a chore
Popped into Hatton garden branch today after 25yrs out of the game. Was helped for almost an hour by Sylvia I think anyway she was very knowledgeable and helped me find everything that I was looking for. There was nothing out of stock that I needed and she went through the options focused towards the tasks I will be doing. Thanks to the excellent staff advice I got more for my money than I had originally expected to. Six stars
Having been a Cooksongold customer for almost 20 years, I know that they provide a fabulous service and am always happy to recommend them to my students. Today, Helene went above and beyond to help me source a new piece of equipment for my workshop and I cannot thank her enough for her help! It was very much appreciated, and a lovely reminder that no matter how much we do online, it is the people that are the heart and soul of any business.
No tracking on deliveries. Royal Mail has apparently lost two of my packages. There won’t be a third time!
Unfortunately, I trusted the advice of a clueless seller which lead to an utterly disappointing experience as the customer service was even worse. I can not recommend it.
It’s look like there is no other shops around here. Only two staff work and ages to serve customer. 2 staffs in collection counter doing nothing . I noticed these for over week that the same thing happened.
I do orders online. There are problems each time. The orders comes separately which is very annoying. So far nobody told me why? The biggest problem is customer service. Absolutely useless, unhelpful and untrained. Especially Mr T. It looks like it is a huge mess there. When I call and ask for my order status , no one can find my order or even an account. It is hard to believe. Often no one replies to emails. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this company.
