This place is hard to judge as there's many traders inside I would say at least 30 to 50 with ground and basement level. It has happened to me before where I have gone in with coloured diamonds and a trader has tricked me into believing that my coloured diamonds were fake treated stones. I later took it somewhere else where they ran the same test and it turns out they were naturally coloured. That Trader knew a trick to cause the stone tester to the show that it was unnatural, Which meant he could try to buy them at a lower price. The other person I took the stones too to get a second opinion using the exact same make and model of tester demonstrated what it was that trader did to the tester to make it show the stone was treated. So be carful. On the other hand I have been to traders in the heart of Hatton who are fair and deal with people correctly. There's a gut at the very far back left corner who gives great prices for scrap precious metals. Overall I think if you are going here go to a few places first and find out difference prices weather you buying or selling. These guys don't have one price negotiate with them and try and get the best out of them put the price down as far as you could if you're buying and put the price up as high as you can if you're selling.
Came here on a recommendation from Wards Gems because I was looking for a Sapphire. I was told to speak to Caliber. Sri Lankan guy I think. This store has lots of different traders, when I first came to Hatton Cross I thought it was just one shop. Actually there are loads of traders selling mainly diamonds, watches and other items. There is also a second floor below where traders buy the ring settings. It's a shame that the public can't buy from them. Caliber was very polite and accommodating, he said he didn't have the gemstone we wanted but that he would look into it for us. He did show us what he had and gave us some recommendations on how much he thought it was worth. I gave this store 4 because we did speak to one Pakistani man who tried to sell us really rubbish sapphires, and when it was clear we wouldn't be buying he just stopped talking to us and ignored us. I have no idea how someone so rude can be selling in Hatton Cross?? Just be careful never ever buy from the first place you go to. Even if you like it go to a few other shops take a picture of what you want and ask around and get different quotes so you have an idea about whether you are being cheated. FYI we were told that the rent for these counters is £800 a day so there is a real need for them to make a sale in these stores unless they are trade.
Turns out the engagement ring I bought here is a fake diamond. When I went back to sell it that store was not there and other merchants would not buy the ring and would not tell me why - felt like they were protecting each other. A local pawn broker told me straight away the diamond was fake. The emporium itself does not respond to emails.
Probably the best place to go for diamond jewellery because there's so many shops and competition prices are low. Got a great deal on a ring from Vogue number 32 inside the shopping annex first shop/table in right ask for Javed. No one could match their deal.
Too many young men here knowing absolutely sweet capital 0.waste of time. They place a liquid on my expensive ring and discoloured it big time and yet thought this was absolutely fine. I left upset and disgusted. I bought the Irish claddaugh gold diamond ring in dublin for a few hundred euro's and they ruined it.i am just so upset. Hatton garden is not what it used to be.shame on you.
Fairhazel Design, a store within the Heart of Hatton Garden have provided a poor service to me and my fiancee. I purchased an engagement ring, which my fiancee didn't like. When I came to return it, I was told I could only get a credit note for another item from Fairhazel Design, which would have been ok if it wasn't for the fact that their range was very limited and that suddenly all rings were being sold for at label price where previously they were at a 20-30% discount. We did finally did settle on a design, but after a year a number of the stones were coming loose, my fiancee returned the ring to the store where they offered to fix it for free. When my fiancee picked up the ring she was sceptical that anything had been done to repair it, she has since taken it to Goldsmiths in Brent Cross who said the stones had been very poorly set and it would cost £110 to reset the whole ring. However Fairhazel Design are only one of a number of stores within The Heart of Hatton Garden and I am sorry to the rest of the stores that I am rating them poorly because of one bad egg. Avoid if possible
not trust place, all their jewlery and rolex watch’s look fake . not recommended keep your money for real shops, not just chambers they can close down any time and disappear.
I find the prior reviews to be a bit disheartening. When you are in the area check out Reve diamonds. The staff are extremely attentive, and I recommend planning to visit for a few hours.
Used to be a great place to trade. Now moved and isn’t anywhere what it was. Hopefully things will pick up
Great place to find high quality, Jewellery. Lots of individual traders offering excellent deals on new and second hand jewellery.
