We are a family owned modern Italian restaurant and bar run by the proprietor Joe Lynch and his son Ryan Lynch situated in the medieval town of Denbigh

Story

The name Con Amici comes from the Italian family and friends dining ethos which translates to eating with friends where families and close friends come together to have a meal around a table whether it is at home or in a restaurant, making it a big event. This is what we want our customers to experience when they visit our restaurant.

We are a family owned modern Italian restaurant and bar run by the proprietor Joe Lynch and his son Ryan Lynch.

Con Amici is situated in the medieval town of Denbigh, in the heart of North Wales just six miles from the A55 and is surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty. Denbigh has plenty to offer, including visitor attractions such as the historic feature Denbigh castle and the nearby St Asaph Cathedral.

Great food here. Excellent choice of gluten-free meals which is why we first visited. Most pasta & pizza dishes are all available as gluten-free & plenty of other starters & mains also.nWe had the gorgonzola starter with honey & masala soaked raisins.n3 of our party had the fillet steak with masala sauce & wild mushrooms. The meat was beautiful & perfectly cooked.nI had the king prawn risotto which was full of flavour & had a lot of prawns in it too.nThere is clearly plenty of fresh ingredients in all the dishes.nOur daughters had pizza & carbonara which they enjoyed.nThere's also a nice wine list.nThe staff have always been very nice too.nWe've been a few times now & will definitely be going back.
nAbsolutely beautiful from start to finish! The food was incredible, fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. The service was outstanding too. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The location is stunning and creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal with family or friends. We had such a lovely evening and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Con Amici
This has got to be my favourite eating place in and around Denbigh, so far. Five stars for the food Every time; I have never found cause for complaint. The staff are always attentive & polite without being overbearing and requests for even the smallest of things are seen to immediately. There is also a substantial Vegan menu which is wonderful for us non-dairy peeps and I was finally able to calm my craving for pizza.nOutside is a decent seating area which is partly covered where customers can drink, eat & smoke and there are small overhead heaters should you feel chilly.nIt is always a very pleasant experience visiting ... thank you to all the staff for making it such
I was delightfully fortunate to visit Italy a lot in my younger years and Con Amici really embodies the Italian spirit: simple good quality ingredients treated well and presented beautifully on the plate, families, couples and people on dates all sitting together in relaxed surroundings with friendly staff.nnI'm so glad we found this place as it will definitely be a first choice when we have friends and family visiting.nnEvery course was delicious. The caramel cheesecake was excellent though I might suggest that you share it as it was an Italian-sized portion ie. very generous!.nnThe young ladies serving was just lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them.nnGracie mille!
What an excellent little Italian eatery in Denbigh.nWe popped in before a football match nearby, and despite the mid afternoon booking, service and food were excellent.nTwo of my party had pizza which looked superb.nI had breaded goats cheese to start with and creamy mushroom pasta for main, both plentiful and very tasty see pictures.nPrices were reasonable, not cheap, but good value imo.nAnd a good choice of beers too.nAll round a fine meal and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area again.nThank you.
