My husband and I visited the Drovers Arms several times when we vacationed in Ruthin last year, and we are looking forward to visiting again when we return to the area this year. It is a great place for a drink and some food. The decor is traditional, attractive, and very welcoming. It also has a very nice garden area to sit in when the weather is nice. Everyone is friendly, and we hope we can catch up with some of the locals we met when we are there next time.

The portion of pie i had was on the 'modest' size and the gravy was very salty. I did pass a comment on to the waitress regarding the gravy when she asked how the meal was and we had a rather grumpy response from the chef stating 'That's just how it is and it must have just been the meat'. It was nice to know that my opinion as a customer was so highly valued. We have been twice before for the carvery and have been more than happy, but I don't think we'll be returning. It's a shame as we only live a few miles away.

Spent a good afternoon in the drovers Arms with my wife to celebrate Mother's Day. A packed pub when we arrived, but were shown our table not long after we booked in. A good menu, prompt service with a smile helped to make our afternoon most enjoyable.Thanks to all staff😋.
