I've been wanting to go here for ages, since I read about the Gluten Free menu. What a lovely pub, staff were very friendly and food was amazing. Dogs very welcome and get their own lunch. Wish this pub was a bit nearer home but will definitely be going back to try something else on the menu. Even had Gluten Free beer on draft.
Absolutely beautiful family very welcoming Fantastic food very dog friendly Definitely highly recommended will return Beautiful pub Stunning food Great staff Can’t fault A must go You won’t be disappointed
Fantastic little country pub we found on the way home. Served Sunday roast without booking or electricity!! Power cut down the road didn't stop them! Great food and beer, friendly staff and clientele
We were excited to find out about this pub, as we have dogs and my daughter eats gluten-free. We got there and took directions for a nice shady dog walk before lunch, as it was a hot day. We stay outside, which is so pretty and very shady. To our surprise the dogs got a free ah day lunch! It was chicken, rice, veg and gravy, which they loved. We enjoyed the food a lot, and the bar drinks, also gluten free. Making gluten free pizza is an art I’ve not mastered but my daughter had a lovely one. A light crisp crust and plenty of toppings. It was beautifully quiet. A large number of pubs cater for young families, which is great, but I dare admit that it was nice to have a lunch out without small children charging about. Highly recommended. We may try the group dog walk with lunch sometime!
A traditional country pub, way off the beaten track, in a quiet village. It has the beams, the horse brasses, the wood fire, all of the ambiance that you'd expect. It's dog friendly, and they organise walks for dog owners and their 4 legged friends. But the main reason to visit will be the food. Simply excellent, with an interesting menu, great food, superbly presented by friendly staff. They have a number of specials, and various offers on different days, so the price can also be right! Certainly, they offer some of the best cuisine I've had in a while, and it would not be out of place in a top notch restaurant. Just a note; they also offer food suitable for those with gluten intolerance. My brother suffers with this, and I know from his comments how hard it can be to find somewhere that can cater for him. Make the effort to find this pub, and book yourself a table. You will not regret it.
Very disappointing experience to order a stone baked pizza and receiving the one on the picture. Not a rocket science to figure that it's a ready shop bought base which was really dry, with some ingredients on top, but even the cheese was not melted under the top layer. Would never order a pizza there again Tobe honest I prefer frozen one compared to this. The atmosphere and the stuff was nice though I guess some pubs are just more for drinks than food.
Sunday lunch with our friends turned out to be excellent! Really tasty, well cooked, copious Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Good atmosphere with friendly staff who welcomed our dog as well. We highly recommend visiting this pub and we will certainly visit there again!
Amazing food, lovely local pub with lots of various things you can buy. Staff are lovely too
We had lovely vegan meals today with good menu choices. The menu was well presented for all tastes with lots of good options and simple pricing. The meals were good size portions. It was quite and cosy and we felt very welcome and relaxed. Thank you.
Lovely pub with pretty beer garden. Friendly service. Food served by the chef herself and lovely to see her proud of her food. Dog-friendly.
