Typical Coop mini store. They have self serve tills but I waited there 15 mins for someone to make sure I was legally old enough to buy 4 cans of lager. In the end no one came so I re-queued at the manned till. I told the lady I'd been waiting for someone to press the appropriate buttons on the self-serve but she said since Coop had installed a big Lottery ticket dispenser on the counter they couldn't see the self-serve points!

The only real food option in town. Acceptable offerings, my only gripe is that they are always struggling to fill the shelves. Is the issue timing of deliveries, too few staff or a bit of both? If well organised then both revenue and customer satisfaction would increase dranatically. Last piece - please reduce the amount if markdowns. It greets you as you enter the store, not a welcoming sight nor immediately fills you with confidence.

I don't know whether I arrived at a particularly busy time, but I queued at the checkout for an inordinate amount of time. Only one self service checkout working, and 3 members of staff with their own shopping delaying the 2 other manned checkouts that were open - talking amongst themselves, with one of them turning round saying that customers should use the self service checkouts - errr, hello - only one open if you could be bothered to look. Also nobody available to assist customers on the self service checkouts that were obviously having problems. 11 minutes in a queue, while staff standing around talking isn't particularly good, however the shop redeemed themselves when 2 other members of staff appeared and manned their checkouts. On mentioning at the checkout that I was disappointed at the time I had to queue, I was greeted by a reply that I didn't expect... a rather rude and crass response. I'll hold short of reporting this woman for being rude.

Very poor experience, self service desks not working properly, no staff available to help despite alarms going off, then had to stand for ages to get served at normal tills then explaining my issues staff not bothered no sorry just your not using self service properly. This is the worst shopping experience I've had for ages, does this store have any managerial input?  Get your act together coop, your loosing customers fast, this place must be a shop lifters heaven.
