Very high prices, very long queues. Good quality. But come on, Surely they can manage to pay for another person to work the tills. After all there must be bags of profit given the prices charged v other local retailers.
Don't know what all the low star reviews are about, the staff are great the shop is always well stocked. Coop food is always good quality and the fresh breads are amazing.
Rude lady in this shop..overcharged me with no apology no eye contact constant chatting to staff to her right . Tried to phone complain yet to get her on the end of the phone. 2 of my workers was in previous to me and was also overcharged and treated with her rude manner.
Yet again, customers are being mithered by people representing various charities. This time ,we have the Big issue woman in one side of the entrance and someone from RNIB on the other. I understand that charities need every penny they can get but it makes me uncomfortable waiting for these people to get my attention. It's just an awkward situation for me and I don't appreciate feeling like that when I just want to go to the shop. I know I'm not the only one to feel this way. And I didn't appreciate the dirty look from the RNIB person when I said "no thankyou" .
A local Co-Op store, but always well stocked, clean and the staff are amazing. There's freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and veg, a good stock of cooked and uncooked fresh and frozen produce. Regular offers for loads of items including alcohol, snacks and more nutritious goods. As best as possible, the one-way system works. There's a hand gell and cart sanitisation station too. For a local store, it's great!
I used to be a regular & satisfied customer at the Simmondley Co-op. My main reason for going was to Top-Up my Scottish Power Electricity key at the Pay Point; but I always stayed to browse & shop, enjoying the friendly atmosphere. At the beginning of December 2020, however, I was given the news that the Pay Point wasn’t working & I could not get my Electricity: I was thrown into confusion & distress, as I didn’t know at that moment where else to go, & my Electricity was due to go off. This situation continued right up to & then past Xmas: each week I arrived hopefully only to be turned away, go home, & go to the next nearest shop by car: once it was snowing: I am 73years old: I gave up even trying in January: too embarrassing: so now I never use my Co-op Shop, though am still loyal to the Company
Very good service from the staff. Do a weekly shop ang can get most of what we want.
Nice little shop to buy goods and services are good
