I was nervous about going on the bridge as I'd heard it can 'sway'. Well, the weather was 'interesting', to say the least! Wait until you see the clouds.. but I was secure, safe and not nervous at all!! Superb views. Another peice of London's spectacular visits, for Londoners and visitors alike.
Oh, before you dash off to see Big Ben, you've gotta check out the Hungerford Bridge. Seriously, it's like the best spot in London for a killer view of the city that you won't forget anytime soon. And the best part? It's kind of a secret. Not many tourists know about it, so you can enjoy the view without elbowing through crowds. Trust me, it's a must-do in London if you want to see the city from a whole new angle.
This beautifull Hungerford Bridge located adjacent to Embankment Station. The views of London Eye and BigBen on one side of River Thames are so beautifull and on the other side St Paul Cathedral and High rise buildings look so good.
Hungerford Bridge and the adjacent Golden Jubilee Bridges offer a captivating fusion of modern engineering and timeless charm, enriching the London skyline with their contemporary design. As a frequent visitor to London, I have come to appreciate the unique perspective these bridges provide, both visually and experientially. The sleek, steel structures of Hungerford Bridge and the Golden Jubilee Bridges seamlessly complement the historic backdrop of the River Thames, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. Walking across these bridges offers mesmerizing views of the cityscape, with landmarks such as the London Eye and the South Bank Centre enhancing the panorama. One of the most enchanting aspects of these bridges is their illuminated beauty at night. The soft glow of the lights reflects off the river, casting an enchanting aura over the surroundings and providing a captivating backdrop for evening strolls. Accessibility is another highlight of Hungerford Bridge and the Golden Jubilee Bridges, making them easily accessible to tourists and locals alike. Their strategic location facilitates seamless connections to various attractions, including the vibrant South Bank area and the bustling Covent Garden. In conclusion, Hungerford Bridge and the Golden Jubilee Bridges stand as architectural marvels that not only serve as vital transportation links but also offer an immersive experience that celebrates London's rich heritage and modern dynamism. Whether day or night, a visit to these bridges promises a memorable journey through the heart of the city.
A beautiful walk. Tho I don't know why there is a speaker playing music in the middle of the rails. It was funny.
The perfect location to witness twilight before sunrise looking along the River Thames towards St. Paul’s Cathedral and the City of London
The view here of the London Eye is beautiful with the florescent lights in the background and reflecting off the Thames.
For sure my MOST CROSSED bridge in London. Love getting off at Waterloo and walking into town over this bridge. There’s a pedestrian footbridge on both sides which is very useful. And the bit on the north end of the east footbridge is fun!!! Also fun when a train goes past. Great for views of the London skyline‼
Hungerford Bridge and the Golden Jubilee Bridges offer a stunning walk with incredible views of London. The pedestrian bridges provide a fantastic vantage point to see landmarks like the London Eye, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. The bridges are well-maintained, safe, and easily accessible, making them perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quick photo op. Whether during the day or night, the experience is equally captivating. Highly recommended for both tourists and locals looking to enjoy the beauty of the Thames.
One of my favourite Thames crossings in London. Great views of the Thames, Westminster Palace and the London eye away from the drone of automobiles. Visit at night for the most dramatic view.
