Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The rooms were outdated, and the shower in our first room had no hot water, forcing us to move to a much smaller room. Lighting was poor, and basic amenities like towels were lacking—we had to request them twice, and when they finally arrived, one had a brown stain on it. None of the rooms looked anything like the photos advertised on the website, which was very misleading.nnThere was also no mention of ongoing renovations when we booked. Parking added to the frustration with an unexpected charge of £14 per day. The hotel seemed understaffed, and the staff that were present didn’t appear particularly welcoming or enthusiastic.nnThe swimming facilities were another letdown. The jacuzzi was broken, the men’s changing rooms had a strong, unpleasant odor, and cleanliness overall was questionable. To make matters worse, the website promotes a rooftop bar, but in reality it is reserved for private functions only and not available to guests—another case of false advertising.nnOverall, this stay fell well short of expectations, and between the misleading photos, hidden renovations, and poor service, I would not recommend this hotel.
Group visit and all staff were extremely helpful. Great location and hotel was spotless even though its having renovations done. This didn't impact us at all. Lacey and Shania in the restaurant were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.
Would never stay here again. As a Derry local inviting tourists to my beautiful city it was embarrassing we choose to stay here.nWhere to start, the newly refurbished family room had major noise issue. It was as if a washing machine was on out ceiling the entire night. Clearly a plumbing issue.nWe requested to move, the heating did not work the first night. The shower was dangerous for children as it would be scalding hot one second then freezing the next.nNo room for your legs on the toilet it's that close to the wall. Not enough towels or toiletries supplied. Our room was for 4 people and we were given 2 towels and 1 tiny bottle of shower gel.nHad to wait over 1 hour after check in time for our initial room to be ready.nCurtains also fell down and I had to fix them back up. Terribly dated altogether.nParking is terrible, £14 a night and that's if you get a space.nService- waited 45 minutes for them to tell my child that they actually dont have any veggie burgers.nOver priced food for what it is.nNot happy at all with our stay and couldn't even complain as we would have spent our entire holiday complaining. I would genuinely give it a 2 star rating.
Stayed as part of a groupnStaff were fantastic, especially Shania and Lacey at mealtimes. The rooms are large and very clean with all the facilities we needed. We will definitely be back, and would highly recommend.
Rooms very dated, definitely wouldn't say 4 star! Would have expected some kind of welcome pack in the room with basic information. The pillows need replaced as very flat, lamp didn't work in corner of room, lack of sockets too. Additional £14 to park was a bit pricey considering the state of the place. Reception staff on check-in were very friendly and helpful, same can't be said for the staff member who 'greeted' us at breakfast, if he smiled his face would crack! Disappointing stay to be honest, paid 4 star prices but didn't get 4 star accommodation! We were not made aware of the major work being done as when I called reception to ask if work was still ongoing I was told 'no work at the minute' which was true...no builders on site but the place is a building site and this should be advised to people before booking!
