Unfortunately, my necklace was stolen from my room, and there was no response from the hotel staff regarding the incident. This also happened to my friend. I do not recommend leaving your belongings unattended, as the hotel did not provide any explanation for how this occurred.Rooms: 3/5
I would like to share my experience at this hotel. Unfortunately, my friend was robbed during his stay here and lost some personal belongings I believe it is essential for there to be greater attention to the safety of guests and their possessions. We hope that measures will be taken to improve this aspect in the future.Rooms: 4/5
Before staying at this place, I was actually thinking about switching because I saw reviews about the receptionist being very rude. However, I’m glad that I chose to stick with this place. The guy who’s working both days during my check in and out was very friendly. I realised that I lost my ring after checking out. I’m grateful that he let me check the room again to make sure I didn’t leave it in the room. I didn’t find it in the room but he provided an email address for me to send them the details and they would keep an eye out for me. I found my ring eventually! Thanks for being compassionate! The room itself is pretty spacious in the sense of being in central London with this price, probably you won’t get something bigger. It’s equipped with a kitchen. Room was quiet throughout the night till later in the morning when housekeeping started but that’s understandable. Overall, I’m happy with my stay.
Loved our stay. Very friendly receptionist. Nice welcome and answered all our questions. Quiet room and nice and tidy. Barbican Center 1 min walk. Tube and Elisabeth Line round the corner. Restaurants and Shops very near. Beds are cosy and coffee/tea for free in the room. Haird ryer,and soap & shampoo/conditioner& showergel are placed in the bathroom. Stylish rooms. We will recommend citadines barbican and we will be back. Thank you!!
The facilities are fine. its a hotel apartment. However my check in experience was poor due to staff members making a huge song and dance at 14:52 that the check in was at 15:00 and I'd have to sign up to the loyalty programme to check in early and then checking me in anyway when I refused - why the fuss!?. The check-out experience was also poor. I needed a VAT receipt and the lady at the desk flat out refused to provide one as "she couldn't find the button in the system". She took my email and promised to send it to me. Instead, she signed me up to their mailing list and did not send the VAT receipt. 3 e-mails to the hotel later, I still don't have it
What kind of the hotel that is here only give us one bottle of complementary water bottle for two guests? Even though we booked two rooms. The night shift, Rufino was just absolutely don’t care. Just turned into a huge argument. Ruining the whole stay. You can stay in somewhere nicer with the price you pay for. I won’t recommend anyone to stay here.
Excellent overnight stay here. Right next to the Barbican centre and a couple of minutes walk to the tube. Friendly reception staff and the room was excellent, modern, clean and spacious. Quiet at night and excellent bed. It also had kitchenette. There is a great Italian restaurant very close by as well. Nearby activities: Barbican centre - theatre, dance, music and cinema is just across from the hotel
Nice clean room. Good location. We booked a twin room but when we arrived they could only provide a double. To which their response was pretty much shrugged shoulders. Annoying.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed for 3 days at this great property. We had a 1 bedroom, amenities were very nice & clean with 2 beds, washer/dryer, fridge, and kitchen. We used the free brewed coffee and cappucino machine every day. The location is not bad, there's plenty of fun restaurants around to enjoy. Also close to St. Paul Cathedral but honestly in London you can get anywhere by Metro pretty quickly. Staff here is super nice and friendly. Would stay here again anytime.
The first stay from 2-5 may was extremely pleasant. Staff & room were both great & we got room upgrade due to ASR gold! The 2nd stay from 9-11 may was less pleasant with the front desk staff being very curt during the whole check in process. Despite paying more per night for the 2nd stay, our room was much smaller than the first stay. When asking for late check out as our departing flight was in the evening, that same staff said latest was 1230h & she could do nothing more. Later we managed to get the checkout extended to 2pm via another more understanding staff. However, on the checkout day the same curt staff checked us out of the room way before 2pm such that we could not re-enter the room using our cards. I don’t think that is acceptable at all. Honestly, that one staff made the otherwise pleasant stay that bit more unpleasant.
