Extortionate prices of food and drink aside, I thought it was good. The seats were comfy enough and there was loads of legroom, even for a 6'4" giant with giraffe legs like me. We sat in the aisle seats, almost as far to the side as you can go and the view was fine.
Cheap and cheerful if you avoid the food, friendly staff and the unlimited card means you can live here in the winter and save a fortune on heating your own home....not the flashiest cinema in town but the staff are way nicer than the others...makes a difference. Minus a star as you need to pay 3 quid parking before 6pm which puts the price on par with other cinemas...probably down to the greedy council rather than cineworld.
I consider these screens to be better at this cinema than the one where I live, they're bigger and offer a better viewing experience. The staff are friendly and the foyer is equally friendly and welcoming when you walk in. The cinema may appear small, but I do not consider that to be in an alienating way but rather a cosier way. The refreshments are also very nice to eat and drink besides.
Air con is old and doesn't particularly work well so very hot usually. Cinema is getting old and needs a good revamp but only has an occasional paint job on top of poorly painted doors etc Staff are lovely. Food and drinks offered are fine . Only 5 screens available so an upgrade / revamp would be great.
I love this cinema. It's always been a little quieter than the odeon, but since the new one in West quay, this one is even quieter. This just means you can always be guaranteed to get a seat we went to see the darkest hour, which had nearly sold out at our local cineworld. It is also much cheaper. The screens definitely are older, and the seats are smaller, but worth it to avoid the crowds
Friendly staff but toilets could do with an update. A little too keen to focus showcasing kids films as some films only stay on for a week. Also, disappointing they close the food and drink after the last film has started so if you fancy a snack part way in you cant. Need to lift the game in view of competitors.
Old tired, poor seating and small screen. Sorry to say but I think this place needs updating to compete with todays standards. Very quiet and cannot understand how they make a profit. Parking directly outside and you will need to pay. I wouldn't go again as there are better facilities available
I do not like cinemas where you have to seat below the screen level. Not a fan of planetarium experience in cinemas. Also it is pretty old and needs some refurbishment. Seats have some holes already. And definitely not worth what you are paying for.
Nice "old fashioned" circa 1980s cinema. Nothing fancy, but clean and cheaper than the new flashy alternatives. I found the staff very friendly - happy to chat about movies. The location is easily accessible by public transit and near a number of nice places to get food. They have some good deals for kids as well.
Nice enough cinema and a viable and cheaper alternative to Southampton Odeon. Not helped by having to pay £3 parking If you want to go and see a film during the day. I have all but stopped going there as they do not show all the films on current release, do not have 3D or some of the more advanced audio options of the Odeon plus I do not see why I should pay to park outside the cinema! We are off to see 12 Years a Slave this afternoon and will be going to the one with more screens, free parking and a wider range of options.
