Always clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Can't beat the cinema experience and always a comfy and enjoyable watch. Bit pricey when you consider popcorn and drink combo deals on top of ticket prices when going as a family with 3 kids!
Clean and tidy cinema, group 2, so cheaper prices than Cheltenham, with bigger aisles between seat rows and great local food, although the food and drink there is scandalously overpriced as usual, bring your own.
My partner and I went to see a movie recently and were repeatedly disturbed by a man sat in the row behind us. He repeatedly kicked our seats and answered a phone call a few minutes into the film starting. My partner politely asked him to turn his phone off to which he responded with a series of insults. My partner then reported this to a member of staff who came in to the room and asked the man to be considerate, he then began to threaten us and insult us further in front of the staff member, whilst disturbing other people in the room. The man was not removed, leaving us extremely uncomfortable, leading us to leave the room and claim a refund. Really appalled by the lack of action from staff, ruined our evening whilst the man causing trouble was able to continue watching the film.
Been here several times. Good parking. Easy access. Like the morning film showings. Ideal for Senior Citizens. Avoid the lengthy advert stream by arriving 15 minutes after the published start time.
It is central and part of the Gloucester quay’s shopping center. Lots of screens and clean and tidy. I would have liked them to have completely switched off the overhead lights instead of dimming them while the movies are running
Decent cinema with a good amount of screens. Service is always good and the audience is usually pretty quiet. There are self serve ticket machines on the ground floor, with a manned ticket office and refreshments counter on the first floor, along with the screens. Escalator, stairs and, and elevators are available. Staff are super friendly and you can tell they love film, usually down for a quick happy chat if it's not too busy. Seats are allocated, so it's worth booking in advance. All the typical refreshments from Cineworld: Pepsi, popcorn sweet and salty, ice slush type drink forget the brand, nachos, hotdogs, pick n mix, chocolate, etc. Only downside is sometimes the toilets can have a really foul smell. It's not down to poor cleaning; they're actually well maintained and cleaned, it's a plumbing thing I guess.
Sadly, not a great experience. The seats were really uncomfortable, the padding and the springs must have been old and worn out. The lights were also not fully turned off like normal, so it was difficult to see the film during dark scenes.
"The writing is definitely on the wall for Cineworld and other big chains".So called Blockbusters are held and shown week after week ticket prices are also too high sometimes on 2 screens or more at staggered timesdespite low audiences.I saw Bullet Train & Nope and the numbers per seat could be counted on one hand since. Some of the issue is obviously due to competition from on line streaming. This Cinema has 10 screens of different sizes but the viewing choice can be bland smaller Independent films are completely ignored movie moguls and management please take note.Update early September 2022 Cineworld Glos and Cheltappear to have reduced Mon to Friday screenings to later PM only .The days of promoting with film quad posters such as at bus stop shelters and on the side of buses also seem to be on the wane in fact street or road adverts and lobby cards are long gone the same as the Film Review magazines.Don't blame Covid 19 for everything the future has to be smaller /less venues with better customer service plus home rental viewing. It's the way the cookie crumbles .Speaking of food best to take your own sandwich and a soft drink the Cineworld prices are extortionate also the toilets are questionable, a lack of hygiene and also piped loud music. The muzak throughout the foyer is LOUD the Gloucester Cineworld Cinema opened Dec 2013 and is the worse for wear the escalators are often out of order the space on the ground floor has a reception desk of sorts but its never occupied ?.PS: A final mention about the film screen presentations -occasionally the ratios are incorrect and also slightly blurred in places after the sleep/ nausea inducing lengthy LOUD adverts/ trailers beforehand.Blame the automatic processes.May I suggest earplugs.
First visit to this cinema....Sorry to give a low score, but our seats in screen 6 well past use by date. No comfort and could feel bars... did more wiggling that a pair of your lovers. Film was good though and location of cinema perfect
A good experience to which the cinema was clean and well-stocked with the usual sweets and bits. Staff were friendly and helpful so it would be a cinema I'd go back to.
