It was great. Been here MANY MANY times but must say I’ve been 3 times just this week for the sing-along version of Wicked and will be going again!nnI, and many of my acquaintances, will dedicate so much money for just ONE MORE wicked sing-along screening, I BEG. ONE IS ALL I ASK.nnThank you.
We tried to get some popcorn however we thought we would ask about the allergens as I have a peanut allergy. A member of staff told us that we can share allergy information in case we are wrong. He then told us we had to scan a QR code that was on the stand of his computer screen which was not visible to anyone standing by the confectionery section. We then scanned the QR but there is absolutely no signal in the building and there is no guest WiFi so we instead didn't get any popcorn as we couldn't access the allergen guide. Simple solution to this mistake is to print off an allergen guide which is what most establishments do these days. Not impressed one bit
Cineworld is absolutely amazing, Ive seen Wicked three times this week and two of them have been the sing along and it is simply the best thing ever, the one thing that keeps it from being perfect is the fact they don't show wicked sing along anymore, that is a big downside and I'm very disappointed i cant sing to my hearts content over my favourite musical, as you see singing is a very dear thing to me and stripping the ability to go to this place of comfort is saddening PLEASE BRING BACK WICKED SING ALONG I WILL DO ANYTHING AND I WILL BUY TICKETS TO SO MANY OF THEM ITS ALL I WANT PLEASE, THANKS! i love Wicked Wicked is the best sing along thing to do ever!
This is a venue that is showing its age and is pretty tired & in need of some money being spent on it. I used to take the children to the old site by the now defunct toys r us and when this site initially opened it was lovely, but it’s showing its age and a lack of investment which is sadly probably a sign of the times for the demise of cinema. As an unlimited member for 8 years I’m sorry to say that I’m done with Cineworld. Living on the Gloucester -South Gloucestershire border we visited Gloucester sometimes as it often had films for a longer run or more choice we were informed Cineworld policy prioritised certain cinemas. We preferred the newer Yate venue which was on one level, had free parking, more comfortable seating and newer & better projector and sound systems. When the later closed we’ve had to use Gloucester permanently and the contrast is stark - escalators often don’t work and as a disabled patron stairs are a challenge, sound and picture quality isn’t great - we were informed they were getting the equipment from yate but maybe that’s not happened yet? Toilets are often not clean, nor are the theatres; but worse of all the seats are uncomfortable and sometimes filthy. The fact parking is costly as well being a city centre venue could be forgiven if the experience is great- it’s not! Cinema has gone from being my absolute joy to a chore and I won’t be renewing my unlimited- to try to rescue this I’ll be off to the Vue at Cribbs which has been modernised , is cheaper on a ticket basis sadly no monthly option like Cineworld but I’ll take quality over quantity here and has free parking too.
Screen 2 cinema was FREEZING this afternoon. Foyer area was heated, but no heating in the cinema. I was frozen even with a padded coat on and a wool scarf. Maybe I should bring a duvet with me next time. Clearly Cineworld are saving on heating costs, but they should consider their customers' well being, especially as some may be frail or elderly. Shameful.
