The atmosphere here is great, especially the 'outdoor' seating area. We had gone on a greyish afternoon and it was still very lively and bright. There was a decent selection of cocktails, beers and beer cocktails. While there is a variety of food options, the only thing I'd order again is the fish tacos, which was fresh and light. The Chicken quesadilla and tostada black bean were very average and the Blanco slaw should be renamed bland-o slaw. I would definitely recommend coming here for drinks if you want to be 'sat outside' on a rainy day.
Thought I'd back track and actually give a review of this place I went to as part of a team night out. Decor and feel of the place was nice. Service was friendly, speedy and attentive... Maybe not so much. Food was decent but didn't exactly jump at me as being amazing for the price we were paying.
They didn’t have ketchup : My friend ordered the ‘wedge salad’ which we thought suggested it would be potato wedges but it was literally a quarter lettuce on a plate with a few pomegranate seeds.
Didn't like this place at all. Loads of people I know were raving about it saying it's an amazing Mexican but the menu absolutely baffled me. Most of the menu basically just dictates to you how many people can order each dish or each platter so you feel totally restricted by that. You defiantly could not come here as a lone person as most dishes are for 2 people or 4. If one of your pair wants one thing and you want another this place is an awkward place to go. I don't like being told what to do by a menu. Also the vegetarian options are pretty poor, laced with the classic vegetarian mushroom and basically just regarded as the 'health options' No regard for vegetarians who actually want to eat a decent amount of food. The portion of sweet potato fries is served in a small enamel cup, and even though I admit they're very nice, you are charged the same amount you would be for a full plate of fries anywhere else. Also when I was there they didn't even have much of their menu available so that was pretty painful for deciding again what to order. I wouldn't come back again, and I wouldn't recommend to any of my friends either. The only good thing about my night was a bottle of wine.
Wanted to come here for a few years, slightly disappointed by the place generally. Although staff were friendly and amazing. We had made reservations granted on a Saturday night but had to wait an extra 30mins for cold table right next to cold front door and busy kitchen. When complained to manager lovely Scouse guy he happily moved us to next available table which was 10x nicer and worth the 1 hour wait... Also were given free tequila for the extra wait. Bar tenders friendly and chatty, nice cocktails. Food wasn't anything special, some glorified finger food you'd expect from a buffet on holiday. Quality of the food wasn't fantastic either, presented nicely though. Thanks to staff though who were still working hard at the end of the night when the tills went down...
Cielo Blanco is a nice experience, we when with the street food sharer, all very tasty, but i would say that the steak could of been a better cut of meat, was a little too chewy but still tasty. I rated it as four star as where was some items on the menu there had run out off which was a shame, staff should mention it when giving you the menu. Will go again.
The food was incredible, you have your standard Mexican selections, burritos, enchiladas etc with a choice of filling, but you also have a variety of sharing boards and something called the "Street Food Experience". We went for the Street Food Experience which is basically choosing 6 items from the Street food menu to share between two or more people. There's a large variety of options to choose from with a selection of filling for most options and the portion sizes are good, it's like a Mexican tapas. My girlfriend and I were stuffed when we left. The only downside is the upselling. Once or twice is understandable but it's almost as if the staff are on commission with their suggestions for starters, sides, cocktails, smoothies, desserts etc.
food was excellent - small portions but would definitely recommend ordering a few and sharing - - theyre lovely and more filling than they look. The staff were attentive and helpful and the atmosphere is perfect! Cocktails too were beyond delicious! If youre a fan of tequila you'll be spoiled.
I'd normally steer clear of shopping mall food places. But it was freezing and raining. Staff all young and trendy but friendly. Places is basically Mexican tapas. Food was pleasant enough and quite innovative but generally felt preprocessed. However the chili parts were quite hot which is nice. Biggest two downfalls is it's a shopping mall - no real atmosphere and no scope for any. Second was price, it's quite expensive for what you get. One of the better choices here though.
Great Mexican cuisine, with a street food vibe. The quality of the food is excellent, a bar above the usual Tex/Mex affair. Great tequila offering, mezcal too. Recently reduced the menu though which, from a consumer perspective wasn't great.
