Great service with a great casual atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the city centre and this food was plenty for the two of us. Generally the food was great but we felt the dhal could have done with more seasoning salt on the tables would be handy and the potato flatbreads were burnt on the bottom, but I’m sure the staff would have fixed if we’d raised it, we were just in a rush. Would definitely come back again and give some other dishes a go.
We loved it. The food was delicious, served in small plates, the beer selection was great and the staff was very friendly. I cannot recommend it enough.Food: 5/5
I haven’t been to a Bundobust for ages but absolutely love this Indian street food restaurant, tucked away not far from Leeds Railway Station. It was pretty warm when we arrived so it was great to be able to sit “outside”but under cover. Everything on the menu looked so delicious with firm favourites such as Vada Pav on offer. We had some of the snacks then 4 dishes between two, plus a mango lassi for approximately £33 which I thought excellent value. Portions are generous so although the menu suggests 2-3 dishes per person we didn’t manage to finish it all. The staff are great and very knowledgeable. It’s a lovely welcoming atmosphere and very relaxed. Order at the bar and the food is brought out to your table. Toilet facilities washrooms are unisex and located towards the rear of the restaurant. We visited on a Sunday but I noticed that they have a lunchtime express menu on weekdays which looked tasty and good value. Highly recommended!
I've been here before and I've come back time and time again. The atmosphere here is great and to go with that, the food is incredible! You wouldn't even guess it's all vegetarian, it is that good! Some very different flavours and a great choice of beers to finish it off! This restaurant is also a great place for a hang out! Chill! Vegetarian options: The menu is a fantastic vegetarian menu and for those who aren't vegetarian or vegan, you wouldn't even know it!
A fantastic restaurant in the centre of Leeds. There is a great selection of classic Indian street food which all tastes incredible. There is no meat on the menu and that is not an issue as all the dishes are filled with flavour and you are spoilt for choice. A great place for food in Leeds and you will have to book to ensure you can get in.
Meaning to go and sample … went for a brunch … amazing! 90 mins of great food and drink in a lovely chilled environment! Best brunch in Leeds! Please do againFood: 5/5
Rated #2 to eat out in Leeds Timeout and a very sturdy review count. It doesn't live up to the hype. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so excited to go. As my Indian friend eating with us put it perfectly, "it's great for non-Indian people who like re-heated food.". They served us about 3 incorrect dishes. For the 2 we had energy to mention, they promptly replaced them. Too promptly, proving my friend likely correct that it is reheated food. The wet food was very average wet meaning curry with sauce. However, all the over dishes I loved and all of us in attendance did agree that the food wasn't bad. Why on earth were they playing constant drum and bass, and I mean cocaine mdma style heavy stuff, borderline dubstep - I just don't know. It's a vibe but a stupid vibe for eating out. The cocktails were awesome. Who on earth goes to an Indian restaurant for cocktails, though. All Indian restaurants cater very well to vegetarians and vegans, so the fact that it's exclusively vegetarian is positive, but not a big deal for Indian cuisine. It's worth a try, but temper your expectations.
Near instant service with some of the best vegetarian street food snacks I've ever had. So many delicious tapas style snacks to share. The combos are very good value and are generously portioned. Our food for 4 could have done 5 probably.Food: 5/5
Great option for vegetarians as everything on the menu is either vegetarian or vegan! We shared 4 dishes between 2 people which was still a filling lunch. A great range of beers on tap. Shame they only had one non-alcoholic beer option, bottled Lucky Saint in the fridge, but lots of non-alcoholic cocktails, as well as mango lassi on their menu. They only had room for us outside in their courtyard, but it was covered, and heated, so it was plenty warm enough to sit outside there on a cold day. Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is vegetarian!
Excellent food, we did the set menu for 4 and it was excellent always an excellent array of beers to choose from, and very friendly helpful staff.Food: 5/5
