Come forth to the church of true barbecue. Feast thine eyes upon The Good Book. Worship meat smoked low and low, infused with joy. Look. Salivate. Weep.

Story

Like a lightning bolt from the heavens it dawned on Red. The people of this island knew nothing of True Barbecue. Of prime cuts, smoked low n' slow, infused with flavour, dripping with taste.

The people were ignorant of glazes and rubs so mouth-wateringly glorious that they made angels weep with joy. They had been cursed with a plague of bad sausage, bog-standard burger and rodent-sized ribs.

Red knew that the people must be saved. He swore that no rib, sausage, breast nor burger would be cremated in his name. The people of Britain must be led to the light by a true saviour.

At Red's we celebrate the regional differences of American barbecue. From the Carolinas in the North to the southern outposts of Texas, Red's serves up authentic plates of smoked meats and free table sauces for you, the faithful flock.

So come forth believers. Red awaits.

Server was nice, atmosphere was nice but we were sat right next to the toilets. Food took a really long time to arrive and got to the table barely warm. We finished our meal and had to wait another 20minutes for someone to come check on us. Food was really below average, meat chewy and bland Vegetarian options: Terrible! No spices used at all, vegetarian doesn't mean bland.
Really happy with our visit to this place. I brought my fiancé for his birthday and it was our first time here - we both absolutely loved it. The portion sizes were good, and the food was absolutely delicious! My fiancé was extremely impressed with the milkshake which was clearly made with fresh fruit as it tasted incredible! The waitress who took our order was so friendly and warm. We really loved it and will definitely be back!
Dry food, warm pints & over priced. Ordered the three meat meadly which consisted of a clump of extremely dry pork, and very dry beef, all on top of two pieces of “Texas toas”, aka VERY rock hard slices of garlic bread. That was £19 and for £3 extra we got again dry Mac n cheese. The pint I ordered was nearly warm. Just a bizarre experience and no one came over to check on our table. It makes sense the food being so dry as it came out so fast to us. Not one of the house sauces were out on the table again very strange when they are every where in shops. One of the table ordered a milkshake which came wrong. Really sad as this place 4 years was amazing.
The food was nice. Had great discounts for certain days. Ribs was nice and good to eat. My friend over there demolished his steak. So it was prob nice. Nice fries. Nice coleslaw.Food: 4/5
Food was good, but drinks were another matter. After ordering a ‘Red’s Pilsner’ and a subsequent discussion with the waitress, it’s actually Bud Light and tastes of nothing. Not sure how they stand legally with that one! Had I known, I wouldn’t have ordered. My son’s lemonade came with some additional chunks in the bottom! They did take this off of the bill to be fair.
I came here on a sunny Sunday, the best barbecue I’ve ever had! The ribs and brisket were to die for as well as the buffalo bird burger my partner had. The service from Rodrigo and Abbie was exceptional, super attentive and informative of the menu. Abbie’s knowledge of the menu helped me order the best meal! My new favorite spot in Leeds City Center, I will surely come back!
Service was polite enough, but our food turned up before the drinks which isn’t ideal. Biggest disappointment was the food. All 3 meats served on the tray were dry! Like they’d been sat out under a heat lamp for a couple hours, so far from good bbq. The ‘Texas toast’ is literally just sliced garlic bread which you’d buy from a supermarket. Best part was the Mac n’ cheese which says a lot.
Waitress was lovley but food was awful burger all gristle bits very dry and chewy . Only went in because we used to have a reds near us in Newcastle that was amazing but this one avoid spoilt our trip to Leeds Christmas market coach trip left most of itFood: 1/5
What has happened to Red's? It used to be one of my favourite BBQ restaurants but we went again today and was informed by the waitress she was lovely! that management has changed the menu. There were no traditional BBQ items that you would expect like brisket, burnt ends and pulled pork etc., instead the menu has been replaced by burgers, hot dogs etc. It can no longer be called a BBQ restaurant. I ordered the donut burger and honestly it tasted like a McDonald's burger: tasteless, chewy and dry. My husband ordered the chicken wings and that lacked flavour as well. Not only have Red's changed their menu, the quality of food has gone way down. Save your money and don't come here.
Not been here in years as I'd heard it dropped off a while back. Rolled the dice and visited this weekend. My goodness am I happy I did. The food was nothing short of amazing. Had the donut burger with hot wings and fried halloumi. May very well be the best burger I've had in the UK.Food: 5/5
