We visited here about 7 years ago and found it again today whilst driving about on the island. Had a lovely meal here.
Carvery for 2, The Chequers burger, portion of cheesy chips and children's plain pasta. 
Plenty of cheese on the chips, burger was brilliant, plain pasta PREFECT for our little one with sensory issues. Carvery was good could just have been hotter. The garden was great for sitting in relaxing with a drink watching the  children play. Affordable and friendly staff.

A favourite place for food on gge island. Fabulous garden fir the children. .fresh scummy food and friendly service.

Really cosy public house, food was excellent, especially the steak. Would recommend everything. Definitely going back sometime.

Pleasantly surprised 👍 superb meal that exceeded expectation. Desert (warm alabama fudge cake with  cream) was a delight 😁
