My husband had an appointment for a diabetic eye test. Everyone he saw was friendly, helpful & professional. His results were received very quickly. Excellent hospital; clean, well organised & local.
Visited 3 times in three weeks all with the District Nurses.n1st visit for a routine change of my catheternExcellent professional treatment from delightful nurses. As it was my first visit since moving to this area I was given a full medical during which a small sore on the back of my leg was found. The nurses dressed the sore and I was given a waterproof sleeve to use when showering. A new appoitment was made one week later for a Doppler test.n2nd visit. For a Doppler test that measures the circulation in the legs and feet using ultra sound. The whole thing was painless and took about 45 mins. The leg sore was examined and re-dressed.n3rd visit was to re-dress the leg sore but it was completely dry and healed. No further treatment or dressing was required.nAll excellent service
Good and kind response to telephone call the other day regarding visiting a patient. Not clear though if there is a restriction at weekend afternoons. Website says closed. Clarity needed.
Excellent care by the staff but very little in the way of communication with family members and no update with regard to care given.nMy mother was sent to this hospital for an assessment after a recent fall and has been in there for over 2 months because there are no carers available to make home visits for her to return home.nMy mother is therefore expected to sit there until who knows when.nI think the system is clogged up with people needing home care that is not available and my poor 74 year old mother is bearing the brunt of this.
I recently had need of the Therapy services namely Physio and can't stress strongly enough how helpful it was to have this service on my doorstep and to not have to travel far and wide for a few minutes treatment. The staff are all very kind and helpful. The hospital itself is a clean , well appointed and equipped place. It is a tragedy that it could be under threat of closure when it so vital to the local community.
