Not the best trade-in experience to be honest. By the time they excessively judge things brought in, you end up with around 10% of the website's quotation - this has happened to me several times. The national CEX website states that they accept one thing, and this store revolts against this. This is the last time I'll be using the trade-in service. I would recommend going elsewhere.
Went last week to look at some laptops and when standing in the line, the staff member with beard, hair and big build was extremely rude to the people in front of me and the way he he was speaking to staff, made me feel sorry for them didn’t see the staff number. However, another with a pony tail was very helpful and kind to everyone. Personally, a few months back too I went to view some AirPods and one staff similar in description to the one above but not the same in there wouldn’t stop blocking my way when I was examining them and told me ‘it’s not racism’ and ‘don’t try to even use the race card’ when I never did lol. It’s as if I imagine some staff here had an awful time at school and so are taking it out on the public, what it seems. There needs to be a staff review or somebody should take it to the corporate office urgently, I’ve seen this and have friends telling me this for years now. And if this review gets deleted for being too honest, I’ll simply post it again so people know the current state of the Loughborough CeX store. This store doesn’t represent the CeX brand at all.
Terrible if you're selling. AVOID THIS BRANCH. On multiple times I have bought in mint consoles and even single time they try and five discount price. When I ask why they can't give an answer. Even when the person next to them working said its fine. Iv spoken to locals and they all have the same problem and said they would rather sell on facebook or ebay. Really ruins everyone's view on them. Iv gone to sell nintendo ds complete in box and they try to give me the unblocked price. When I said I'll have the box back they tried to fight it and they get quite annoyed. If you are purposely under buying for the cheapest price every time its not a tactic is a con. I could understand if it was once or twice but eveytime????? Specially if the consoles have no cracks, scratches, marks or discoloration. Awful service. I'll stick to ebay or facebook marketplace.
Nothing but praise for the staff in this store. They are extremely patient with my ASD son and are extremely helpful and accomodating. We often browse and purchase items either from the store itself or use Click and Collect. Never had a bad experience.
Not the biggest CEX, but staff are friendly and well informed. Had some great deals here over the years.
Literally never has money to buy things if you want to wait for a bank transfer then fair enough. Will alway make a excuse not to buy lower end items
We’ve been getting many complaints. This is rated the worst customer service ever in The UK! This seriously must be dealt with. Staff ID: 46398 a no life, obese looking blob has been criticised for his lack of customer service! We will monitor you! He must be sacked immediately or else do us all a favour shut down the store. We’ve already sent numerous complaints to the local police. This isn’t a joke! & we have you under surveillance
They are great and helpful, but not international friendly. They won't accept international driving license or student ID for identification, their app is not supported on phones from some countries, and their website requires a UK phone number explicitly for registration.
A bit pricy for second hand phones. Glad we shopped around and didn't go with our first choice. Never had any issues with the gaming section though. Nice staff always happy to help.
Worst customer service ever!! One of the staffs, obese one who smokes vape outside the store sometimes. Harassed one of my mates, we’re underaged so we will contact the local police. Luckily we’ve got his staff ID which is 46398. Depressed looking sloth, we will take actions and forward our complaint to the Leicestershire police. This must be dealt with!
