It is a private home and at first doesn't look like a standard B&B but the room is spotless as is the bathroom, bed very comfortable. Owners are very relaxed and accommodating and breakfast was more than I could eat! What more can you say. Booking reference: 23502054R. date of stay 10 August 2013 An excellent B&B in a lovely village. I was made to feel at home straight away and enjoyed a super night's sleep in a spotless room in a very comfortable bed. The provision of a small fridge and plenty of milk and bottled water is a nice touch. Breakfast was super, well cooked and presented. I would thoroughly recommend the Cawood Guest House Booking reference: 23301319R date of stay 24 July 2013 Title: A Great Place to Stay Booked at the last minute, because I couldn't find anywhere actually in York. So glad I couldn't! The owners were friendly and welcoming, the room was excellent (including a small food area with a fridge - an unexpected treat in the hot weather), and the breakfast each morning was superb. Fantastic value.
