We are an adult running group that used the Castleshaw Centre as our base for a weekend event. It is an excellent location it's great facilities. The centre staff were very helpful and accommodating with excellent communication from booking to arriving. We self catered in the well kitted out kitchen using outside caterers for benign meals. The bedrooms are good with 2-6 beds and some en-suite. Provision of bedding was a huge plus as some of our group flew into the UK. There is a separate lounge and dining area which was good for those that wanted to chill out rather than join in any partying. The outside areas are fantastic with a beautiful pond side area with amazing views and a huge field in front of the centre. The centre is located with ideal access to footpaths onto the fells and surrounding areas without need of a vehicle.
A great countryside venue for a group or family gathering. Easy access to the great outdoors with the reservoir right next door and walking / cycling routes on your doorstep. Accommodation is what you need for an outdoor centre with substantial drying rooms and hard wearing floors! A good sized kitchen means catering en masse is fairly straight forward. Support from staff during booking and set up was excellent.
We have just spent another amazing weekend at Castleshaw centre with our Guide unit. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. The Instructors are extremely knowledgeable and patient. The location is absolutely breathtaking! We cant wait to book again for next year. Thank you. 21st Oldham Guides
Every year we host our Future Leaders arts residential here, and it's the perfect place for our national cohort of young artists to get away from it all, focus on their course, and enjoy social time together in between workshops. Brilliant large spaces for everything from communal talks to drum and dance workshops! We've enjoyed a partnership with Castleshaw since 2014, long may it continue!

Amazing staff doing their best to make the day memorable for children, despite the the thunder and lashing rain. They never disappoint!
fantastic place!!! been goin for years! Remember being here when I was 10 year old.....22 years ago now! still got the scar to prove it lol
Nice area to explore, didn't know it was there until recently.
Staff are absolutely brilliant with the kids.
Not the center by the walks around here are wonderful!
