This is nearly a hole in the wall and an upside down world compared to the busy shopping avenues just outside the door. A quiet, old school place and nicely decorated for Easter. Classic pub interior. When I walked in I was stared at by most of the patrons which was odd. Chose a pint I hadn’t seen before and enjoyed it before heading out. Friendly folk but the vibe was pretty dark.
This is one of the genuine, authentic old fashioned pubs which have survived in central Liverpool. You can forget about food, although they do have a few prepacked sandwiches behind the bar. It's got a great atmosphere and it's a very friendly place. You certainly won't feel lonely here! Well worth popping in for a pint.Service: 5/5
Beautiful pub, nice staff Good selection of drinks and alesService: 5/5
Nice little bar hidden away off main streets. Pint was good, staff were friendly. Will visit again pretty soon
Just a 5 Star pub. There’s not that many pubs I would give a 5 Star rating, including my local but this so definitely up there.Food: 5/5
Wonderful pub .spotless the staff are so friendly and the service is great. The toasties are fab and very generous and the real ale is spot on. It was my husbands dad's favourite pub in Liverpool so whenever we nip into Liverpool we always try to go there.Recommended dishesCheese and Onion Toastie
Nice little traditional Liverpool pub, good atmosphere and service, situated in the centre of the city. Good beers and reasonable prices.Service: 4/5
Great little pub, very welcoming and a good selection of beers.Food: 4/5
Been coming here for many years. It's usually filled with people of my pensioner age and they all seem to have a great time. Today I tried the Black pudding, sausage and bacon toastie and it was beautiful. Compliments to the chef. Good service and they have a good selection of real ales. Nice place to have a few quiet beers.Food: 5/5
