Best take away fish and chips we’ve had in years. Just what Crouch End needed. Consistently good. Fish is always fried to order and the restaurant is kept very clean. Staff friendly; service efficient.
Decent tasting cod and chips. Completely over priced. Large cod and chips set you back £13.40 for no reason. Chips are always undercooked... even if you ask for the ships to be cooked well done. My advice, cut them around 2mm thinner so they can cook properly throughout and gain a little crisp to them. Will be returning tho
I’m big fish lover I’ve been many places all around London or UK but this place it’s absolutely amazing the taste of the fish it’s like Unbelievable big Chunky pieces great chips !! Love this place been few times and definitely going there again and again !!!! Can’t wait for my next visit !!! Well done people !
Ordered takeaway on a Sunday evening. 1 large portion of chips £3 and 1 large cod £8.50. Although expensive, their serving size is quite big in size. The chips and the cod were both extremely fresh and were delicious and tasty! They offer it with or without salt and vinegar, but I recommend to have it with! Still thinking about these chips 2 days later... YUM!
I’ve just had it with this place. Overpriced, poor quality old fish. I bought a regular cod from there last week with chips, peas and curry. It came to 12.50 and when I got home the fish was tiny! Unbelievably small portion for 8.50. About 15 cm by 5cm. Pleas see the photo. Rip off. I won’t be back.
Salt and vinegar chips didn't really taste like either. Staff nice but a little overpriced for what we got.
Terrible customer service - just ordered via Uber eats and kindly requested for the chips to be separate from the cod - they delivered the food with a pathetic hand written note saying sorry we can’t do that. Small annoyances like this will make you loose loyal customers. I will be going to Toffs next time as I don’t want to bother a business that can’t be bothered
We have eaten from here a few times. Good old style fish and chips with some more modern things on offer too. If you're near crouch End give them a try. Good tartare sauce too!
It's not fish and chips as the chips are extra order. You get a lot of chips for your £3.50 but they are under cooked for my liking. My issue is that the cod we ordered had a very bland taste and the food is expensive. Sadly, not worth it.
Lovely place, the people are friendly and great service, the food is always freshly cooked with fresh ingredients and taste great. I order from here often and have never been disappointed. Definitely recommend 5*
