I very recently lost my husband, and 5 wks later my dog Sam deteriorated. I was seen promptly by a vet and greatly supported by vet nurse Michele. After discussion with vet, I have taken Sam home for a few final days with me, with further medication, with the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep in the near future. I cannot wish for better support from staff at Calder Vets in these difficult circumstances.

I took my cat for his yearly check-up, and Ben was exceptional. He conducted a thorough examination and provided excellent assistance with my cat's hay-fever allergy. Both my mother and I were extremely pleased with the outstanding level of care Ben provided.

Managed to get a short notice appointment for our poorly cat. She was seen promptly and the vet was lovely with her and explained thoroughly what the problem was and what treatment was required both immediately and going forward. Very happy with the service she received

Terrible!!!! We had Ben one of the vets. He was so disinterested and really couldn’t be bothered. We went for our puppies 2nd vaccine and asked questions he couldn’t be bothered to answer. I also asked if my pup would be ok because he put him down on a surface another dog had clearly been on, Ben said he had wiped the surface before we came in so pup would be ok, but the surface was dirty and covered in grey dog hair, so clearly had not been wiped, which is dangerous for a pup just before his second vaccination. He couldn’t be bothered to explain the worm and flee treatment, wasn’t happy when I asked him to write it down and then missed off two items he spoke about. He gave the vaccine, and that’s that. We definitely won’t be returning. Rude, and unprofessional with no care. The receptionist was also incredibly rude. Don’t bother, go somewhere that will care for your pet. These vets are just here for the money!

Great vet. Been with them a long time. A stray cat was beginning to adopt us and came in with a bad injury to his leg. I phoned hoping to get squeezed in sometime in the day. Within an hour he was seen by the vet and they decided to operate on him there and then. While under anaesthetic he was chipped, neutered and had 5 bad teeth removed. They were very professional and understanding of the cat and our needs. We now have a new healthy cat.  A big thanks to all the staff.
