I used this firm for an Airport Transfer last Saturday Morning. My experience with the driver was not overly impressive as he on more than a few occasions fell asleep at the wheel due to only having 30 minutes sleep. I felt incredibly nervous and scared and one occasion we nearly crashed, it wasn’t for me shouting at the driver to wake up, it could have been pretty nasty. Normally my experience with this company is very good however on this occasion I felt it was my duty to leave this review to ensure all future drivers accepting airport transfers to be more awake to ensure full awareness and maintain safety.
Booked these a week ago for my daughters wedding as she needed a large taxi for her dress and they were very helpful. The driver arrived on time for both journeys and was very helpful and patient with us. Thank you and will definitely use again.
Used this company to get and family to and from Lets Rock Ipswich having stayed at the Premier Inn in Ipswich. Both our outgoing 10am cab and 11pm cab turned up on time and both drivers were very helpful, especially the driver on the return journey who was especially friendly. Will certainly be dialling their number next time I'm needing one in the area. Excellent service and easy booking over the phone
If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst cab company I have had the displeasure of using. Utterly rude operators and car didn't bother to show up without any communication. Missed our train. What is the point of booking in advanced if they just don't bother to show up at the confirmed time. It is literally the job role! Makes no sense whatsoever. Rotten company, I would prefer to walk in blistering heat!!! Will never use again nor will I be recommending to anyone else.
Had a really positive experience with CabSmart. Organised 3 different taxi’s from various routes to and from a staff party, all taxi’s turned up and accommodated each person. We were fortunate enough to have a man called Carlos as our driver. Carlos is a genuinely lovely man. We spoke about all sorts in our journey back from the Christmas party. We could have talked all evening to be honest! Thank you for such great service and getting us to and from our destinations safely. Carlos, I hope you get your chicken wings and wine!! Thank you! :
I’ve continued to use the firm as every driver has been so lovely and professional however the same can’t be said for the operators and general running of the business. The woman operator I’ve spoken to on the phone is always rude and unhelpful therefore I pre book taxis on the app. I assumed this would confirm I had a booking ready for me, in case of traffic or driver shortages however this is not the case. They assign a driver to you at the time you need the taxi, causing lateness despite booking way before the time actually needed to reach my destination. The operator then lies when you question it and states you have no booking despite the app showing as assigning you a driver, money being held from bank accounts and an email confirmation of it. They soon find your booking after to cancel it however and also change the time of the booking to later that day, to appear as if you didn’t actually book for the time you did. You can’t predict bad traffic and mistakes happen but their customer service is completely shocking. It’s a shame as I’ve always felt safe with the drivers, despite my anxiety of travelling alone with strangers but I refuse to use the firm any longer.
The staff on the phone are always polite and try to accommodate the time I request. The drivers are also really friendly, especially my driver today, Leena, she took me on the best and cheapest route, thank you!
Update: followed up with no response from taxi company! Taxi driver was 25 mins late to my house for an airport booking of all the bookings - the one you can't afford to be late. Driver said it was central office fault and attempted to get us there as quick as possible. Driver also went to wrong house down street so had to walk 5 mins to meet him. Overall, lucky we gave enough time for taxi as we would have missed flight!
Absolute joke of a business. We downloaded the app and booked a taxi to pick us up at 19:10 ready for a 19:45 train. This allowed 15 mins spare time. We placed the pre booking at 14:00. I called at 19:10 as the app showed it still hadn’t assigned a driver. I was told when they accepted my pre booking 6 hours earlier they had more drivers available. The controller yes, the controller/most experienced member of staff as I was told I was being passed to said individual, said that the earlier drivers had gone gone home for dinner and it was the drivers’ fault because they had gone home for food. In the meantime, they sent another driver who arrived at 19:35 6 mins before my train time. Train station was 17 mins away. They told me on the phone it was this drivers’ fault for being late hard to believe seeing as he wasn’t assigned until 19:25 15 mins after booking time and was over 5 miles away at the time. I didn’t want the driver to lose out considering he had already driven out to us. The controller told us the driver should take responsibility for the behaviour of the other drivers and that it’s his loss. I traveled with him despite the fact that the next train which I need to pay for anyway as I have missed previous one, due to cabssmart, was an hour away, because it is absolutely not the driver’s who was assigned to us eventually fault. The driver said he would only be compensated £1 if we cancelled he had already rebelled 15 mins to us. It was absolutely not the driver’s fault so we travelled with him to the station so he would at least get a fare. Had to buy new train tickets all due to the absolute ineptitude of cabssmart. Nobody once apologised. An absolute joke of a company but credit to the driver who was so apologetic, despite it not being his fault at all, he is an absolute credit to this joke of a company
Very bad attitude of the employee who answers the phone. The car is late for 20 mins! When your cars late don't inform last minute, you should inform at least 30 mins in advance. You don't wanna lose the money we pay you, but that doesn't mean you put customers in trouble to be late on their appointments!!! And the employee on the phone keep interrupting having bad manor and behaviour. Educate your staff!!
