At Buddha Lounge we set the trends, we don't follow them.

Our in house DJ's play the finest rhythms for your aural pleasure. A bar with a vibe that cannot be matched elsewhere in Southampton.

Took away our alcohol when we went dancing for no reasons. Bouncer kicked out our friend for she resting at the booth. She didn’t allow any of us to speak and took her personal phone filming us, even provoked our friend like picture. Good place to go if you’re ready for being discriminated :
The worst bouncers i have ever encountered!! They where so rude to me and my female friends making us so uncomfortable. Genuinely wouldn't recommend this club to anyone probably the worst club in Southampton
Bouncers are friends with drug dealers!!! The drug dealers will assault you and You will be the one being kicked out!! Absolutely disgusting!!! Don’t waste you time and money in this place!!!Food: 1/5
2nd time going to Buddha, didn't even think of given a chance for here now. Not even an hour after we finished buying our drinks, security named Jack comes to my friends and asked him to go out just because he is siting down as he was tired. This is ridiculous. You can't just kick out people like this. Please be aware if you want to go here, never again.
The bouncer who was working the door denied entry to one of my friends for absolutely no reason we were sober she was from Scotland and had a Scottish accent and he seemed to have an issue with it and he denied her entry and I asked him why and he replied with how he makes more money than my dad and he spoke to all the other bouncers and we were not allowed in any of the clubs for no reason and none of the bouncers gave us a reason and told us we were not allowed entry so sad and pathetic that these bouncers ruined our girls night for no reason other then to get a power trip so sad lived in Southampton all my life and I can’t believe the bouncers treated us this way.
Buddha is simply the best night club in Southampton! Did my bachelorette after party in there after my brunch at funky flamingo and had so much fun last Saturday. The VIP service was 10/10 and the girls made the party even better. Gorgeous girls, very nice, welcoming they made sure I had the night of my life. The DJ played my favourite songs and I’m really thankful for the whole experience. For sure coming back every time I’m in Southampton
I read a lot of comments below but my personal experience with the place is different. I witnessed a friendly and organized staff including the security team. Me and my friends had a wonderful time and for sure we will visit the place many times more, I personally loved the atmosphere and DJ's awesome Playlist, he was able to read the room and alternanated it accordingly . So to the staff I can say well done!!! keep up the good work.
I went here today for my 18th birthday, we had some drinks. my family wanted to give me a nice experience in town. A male security person asked a family member to put a hat on backwards, my family member said are you joking in a jokey way, and all off a sudden this horrible security woman, clearly abusing her power has a go at us for being ‘rude’ to the other which we where not. We tried to explain to her but she got in our faces and shouted and argued and kicked us out. Then the woman decided to not let us talk outside and was blatantly rude and pathetically continued go argue with us. Not only that she followed us round the corner and was talking sh! About us to another. I am really dissapointed in this experience and how i was treated. Would not reccomend. I have attached the photo of the horrible woman.
Went last night for the first time in many years and it's really changed. It's a shame because my issue is not with the venue itself.. it is with the clientele. Men in this club are awful. Grabbing your body, handbag whatever they can. One man even put his hand up under my skirt! My friends that I was there with were also getting inappropriately touched. I'm talking hands in trousers and up shirts. I'm used to some drunk men trying it on but this was excessive. I had to swat hands away from me. I also found two men to be recording me and laughing as I tried to make my way through the packed dancefloor. Speaking to people it seems Buddha has a reputation for this. I know there is only so much that can be done but maybe more security is needed and stricter rules for if you are caught doing this? I thought about going to security but there was honestly so many men doing this I would have had to report most of the club. I'm not posting this to be rude. I'm genuinely concerned about the safety of women in this club as my experience was not pleasant sadly. Hopefully something can be done.
