As far as small clubs go, this one is a solid experience. Came down to see Boddika and wasn't disappointed. The sound was really good for a small venue and I was pleasantly surprised. The DJ booth is a square that you can walk around, which is a nice touch providing a more personal approach to events. Security are solid people, really not what I usually see from security at other venues, they were funny guys and helped out when someone was in need. Drink prices are what you can expect on a night out, but water bottles are about £3 stick to tap water, it's free.
Junk is my absolute favourite club! The staff are all so lovely while the venue is amazing. With these two factors combined it makes for an incredible night out that never fails to bring the great vibes and funky atmosphere. I have loved being part of the junk family and can never wait for my next night out!!
Best DJ venue in southampton ! Good night guaranteed whether you’re keen to see that DJ or they’re new to you, always really good vibes and everyone’s just there to enjoy the music, there’s never an aggressive or pervy or undesirable crowd it always just feels like a safe friendly place. Never had any nonsense getting in either unlike other clubs who’ll make you queue for ages to make it look busy or tell you it’s full when you’ve bought a ticket. Sick little club!!
Fantastic venue. Gets a lot of hate because they've been doing it the longest but they're a quality brand and great group of people! Done wonders to survive for so long in a changing market!! Love this club!
This place is utterly devastating because beer 5£ and stuff unable to give back money when purchased the wrong ticket. Wodka shots were not properly full. Santa hats bad quality, I need some waterproof hats. Thank you. Good bye.
unfortunately, I cannot recommend this etablissement, it did not suffice neither my expectations, desires nor my taste of music nor prices for beverages beer 5 pounds I mean what the hell? never ever again, jesters is a more sophisticated, clean and fun location - thank you for your attention, time and consideration Yours faithfully with much kisses Fanta 6 #besoffski
This is a great night out, but it is expensive compared to other bars and clubs in the area. It is significantly better however, so this makes up for that in my opinion. Expect average London prices and you won't be surprised.
It's hard to resist writing a 5 page review of this horrific club but I know nobody will read it so instead here are a few key reasons not to go to Junk. 1. it costs £10 to get in 2. the cheapest drink seems to be £5 3. it actually smells like urinal cakes, which is impressive 4. the floor was actually sticky 5. toilets were terrible in conclusion if you enjoy house music you may be tempted to go but I would suggest you would have a more enjoyable experience driving around in your mother's astra with your favourite tunes blasting out of your upgraded stereo system.
Up there alongside Switch as the best club in Southampton but beats Switch in terms of how scatty the sesh is here. Attracts really big DJs and bouncers have always been sound. Slightly expensive drinks but bottled water is the biggest seller anyway...
Do not pay local djs, promoters and staff. Would not do business with them under any circumstances. Terrible management who ignore any form of communication regarding payments and are effectively robbing underground music enthusiasts and destroying the local scene. Terrible display of what the scene is. Absolute frauds!
