I have been very impressed lately with the help and friendliness I have received from the receptionists.nThe level of friendliness, information and time given to me and family members has greatly improved.nPlease carry on the good work.nIt makes all the difference, as you are the ones that we first encounter.nThankyou.
Doctors are amazing, Not all but 90% of the reception staff are awful attitude rude saying it needs to be an emergency I understand that that’s why I’m requesting an appointment and they are not medically trained with certain things they say. Anything you say to them they seems to annoy them everything an issue not helpful at-all lazy if anything there’s many complaints all regarding the reception staff work life hard I get it but you work in a doctors surgery where by people are not well or are facing very serious conditions it’s never nice going to the doctors some are anxious dealing with them at the front desk is honestly depressing…new staff or costumer service training is needed all of these complaints should be taken more serious iv worked in the hospital dealing with very worrying sight conditions and I treat every single patient with kindness and respect why wouldn’t you
This is definitely one of the worst Practices I have come across. It is close on impossible to see a Doctor. I note from other review responses by the Surgery that you should contact the Practice Manager to discuss concerns. My request to meet with the Practice Manager was refused unless I made a formal written complaint. It is bizarre that the Surgery is unwilling to discuss problems with going directly to a formal complaint. Once I recover from my current ill health I will do as requested including sending a copy to the Chief Executive of Howel Dda Trust and the local MP
Doctors are generally very kind and understanding, but the reception team certainly needs some more training, as they seem to change or make up rules on the spot, and are usually pretty dismissive in attitude as well. Once you get past reception, it’s plain sailing with the doctors, but trying to get the front desk to take you or your issues seriously is an uphill battle.
I went into the surgery today to collect a prescription for my daughter and ask why my request for a telephone appointment, regarding her medication has not been made, since I requested it two weeks ago.nI was told by the receptionist that the Doctor will not read the letter I wrote asking for one and I'm to use Ask my GP or call. I informed him that Ask my GP in never in use when I try to access it and that when I call I can never get through - I work 5 days a week between 8-5, so my ability to make phone calls is limited, so that is why I wrote a letter. I have written letters to the Doctor before as I've had previous trouble contacting the surgery and had no issue so what is the problem now? I've had incidents where other members of the reception team have spoken to me like rudely and reduced me to tears, so I rarely contact the surgery now, unless absolutely necessary. My child is currently in pain with her Eczema and needs additional medication, but it looks like she will have to continue without it as I can't get an appointment for her. The appointment system and customer service at this surgery is such a let down. There's no point me trying to contact the surgery to complain as they seem to be inaccessible!
