The place to go if you need to rent a van, forget the multinational rental companies, they don't match this place for price, service or availability. Sounds like a sales pitch, but it's not, it's from personal experience - they were cheaper than everyone else, they had vans available and they were open on a bank holiday, can't fault them. Would use again and definitely recommend to everyone close enough to benefit from the service provided. Thank you Bruce Dixon!
Never used Bruce Dixon before but will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family. The customer service that we received was amazing, Donna who went above and beyond with all the help with the issues my husband had with his driving license!! Also the vans were in excellent condition and very comfy to drive.
I used Bruce Dixon for the first time on Wednesday. I just wanted to write a review to let people know helpful the staff were there. Especially Donna who made the whole experience painless. Perfect service. The team are very friendly, helpful and really look out for what's best for the customer. I spoke to a lovely lady called Donna and she was fantastic. We have used this company on more than one occasion and found the service to be first class. Donna, the lady we dealt with was fantastic! The vans we have had have always been clean and the customer service is fab! Would highly recommend.
Bruce Dixon was able to offer me a hire car without any hassle when my car was having work done. Great prices and staff are really friendly. Would definitely recommend if you need to hire any cars or vans.
Had an emergency recently when my van broke down in the early hours of the morning on the way to an event. I got relayed to a nearby hire company by the AA but they wouldn't help. Someone recommended Bruce Dixon, so I gave them a call. Donna immediately realised the jam I was in and even sent one of the guys from the office to pick me up. By the time I got there I was pretty stressed and tired from having waited all night to be relayed by the AA but Donna and the team were absolutely brilliant ...she sorted out a van and totally saved the day. First - class customer service ! Without them I'd never have made the show and that would have been a disaster. Their concern for my situation and the way they helped me get over the various admin humps was fantastic, and a more friendly, co-operative bunch of people would be hard to find. I know I'm not a local but I know exactly where I'll be coming to next time I need a hire van ! Love these guys....
BE CAREFUL when hiring a van from this company We hired 2 vans to move my elderly parents to a bungalow and Bruce Dixon’s were made aware that we were moving them out in the evening and all the furniture would be stored overnight in the vans. Unfortunately it rained that evening and when we went to unload my parents furniture the following morning we discovered the van had been badly leaking! So much so my mums mattress had to be taken straight to the dump! When the vans were returned we told them what had happened and they were not interested and said that they were not liable and to claim it on the insurance! I decided to e-mail the company and asked them to take some responsibility as my parents had the added expense of a new mattress on top of moving costs. The following is part of Bruce Dixon’s response “The hirer did inform us also that the mattress and loose coverings that was put in the vehicle in the Luton part was stored overnight in heavy rain. Normally when transporting these particular items they would be bagged for protection to eliminate any damage and it would appear according to the hirer that this didn’t happen.” As you can see from this response there is no denial that the van does in fact leak! I then sent a second email to say how disappointed I was with the response and surely it is not too much to ask that you simply inform customers about the leak, giving them the opportunity to protect expensive items. I gave them a further opportunity to offer a solution to the situation, a small offer of compensation would have been appreciated. Instead what I got was quite the opposite, I received an irate phone call from Dennis who in an intimidating manner asked me if I had heard of condensation and went on to completely lie about the leak, he went on to inform me that if I left a bad review warning others about the leak he would be going to the police! So trying to intimidate me not to do this! He went on to leave a nasty voicemail on my phone as he repeatedly called back but I was not comfortable picking up as I was still shocked and upset. When my son found out how Dennis spoke to me he immediately called him and explained how he should not treat customers that way, Dennis seemed to concede that he should have handled it differently and the call was ended with him offering half the cost of the mattress as a good will gesture. He asked for evidence of the receipt which was forwarded by email. We thought this was the end of the matter as we reached an amicable outcome but when we heard nothing further my son prompted a response from Dennis who has completely back tracked and now offers nothing! What a shame this could not have been resolved in a reasonable and fair way, even an apology would have been appreciated. I have never experienced such terrible customer service and would advise anyone to be cautious when using this company. Is it too much to ask for a bit of honesty!
I have rented several Transits and Luton Vans over the past 10 years Normally use Bruce Dixon at least once a year. They are constantly really friendly and helpful, all vehicles I have borrowed have been in excellent condition. Highly recommended.
Excellent customer service - Donna was incredibly helpful at such short notice, given a very reasonable price for a lovely ford fiesta for the week. Thanks again. Would definitely recommend.
