Average family chain pub. Microwaved food that's acceptable and relatively cheap. Moderately priced drinks, average lager amd spirit selection. Nothing to write home about.

We have come here in Christmas eve as a family for years as it is my children's birthday we had pre booked.... we had long waits to order food was prompt for starters and mains we then booked deserts of ice cream sundaes etc to have to wait over 45 minutes just as our deserts were being brought to the table we were rudely interrupted by one of the staff that made no apologies for interrupting people talking to be told we need this table at 4.30pm no apologies were made extremely rude when we booked at no time were we told we had a time limit on the table and im sure all your calls are recorded again as I did to the staff we are still waiting on dessert and we will vacate when finished the member of staff huffed and walked away in short we spent a lot of money in good and drinks to be treated so rudely needless to say next year will will go and spend our money elsewhere staff are slow and rude no customer service at all

First of all thank you to the front line staff! They're brilliant and have to cope with whatever is going on in the restaurant and the kitchen. . We weren't expecting an amazing meal, but at a 12 o'clock sitting, did expect everything to be going timely and smoothly? We waited over 40 minutes for our starters because the kitchen said they didn't know when to serve then as they weren't a "pre-order" (they were on the table 5 minutes after we queried them?) We were told on ordering that our alternative meal would be served to the table and then the party could all go for their carvery's, nearly half an hour after our starters had been cleared we had to ask again, the waiter was then told our meal was waiting for us at the buffet? The whole experience was a joke. . God help those who are eating later? The place might go into meltdown! But once again, a BIG THANQ to the troops on the front line! Without them you'd be sunk!

Used to go here every week but as gone down hill so don't go anymore. Food sometimes cold and not cooked properly (either undercooked or burnt) staff not as friendly as they used to be
