A middle of the road railway station pun intended, Bracknell is a station on the Reading to Waterloo line.nnWhen I've used it the staff seem on the slow side and sometimes the automatic gates don't open correctly.nnOtherwise, it's a railway station. Though on certain days of the year this line attracts some interesting characters . . . . . see my photos!
I've seen several bad reviews about the rude man at the station ticket desk.nnToday, despite me asking for a ticket via Wokingham, he gave me a ticket via London Waterloo. This cost me more and was a longer journey. When I queried the price, he got shirty with me saying the price was higher as I was purchasing before 12 noon. In fact, he had given me a higher priced ticket on a journey I hadn't asked for. It caused me issues further on my journey when I couldn't get past the barriers.nnTerrible customer service.
Absolutely rubbish. Standing at the counter, in the middle of actually buying long distance tickets and the woman shut the counter in my face at 7:10pm when it should be open till 7:35pm. You should be open till 7:35. Not today was the reply. I'm finishing early. Unbelievable.
Rude customer service on the counter. We asked for a return but the man on the counter misheard it and gave us the single ticket, blaming on us for saying it wrong. We also clearly mentioned that we would not like the tickets to the underground, but he still gave it to us making us pay more, and we did not notice it until the end of the day. Waste of money because of him.
We had a late arrival and the reception was very helpful. The room was very sufficient and comfortable for the little family.
