We’ve visited a few times now. The staff are always friendly and service is generally prompt. We just love the food! Our favourites are Sunday dinner side of cauliflower cheese and B&G burger side of Halloumi fries if you’ve room for dessert, you can’t go wrong with sticky toffee pudding. The menus change seasonally but you won’t be disappointed with a visit here.
Great place with a good menu and selection of drinks. Staff are friendly and helpful We went for lunch on Friday, had two courses and couldn't fit in a sweet. The fish and chips were good, chips were skin on which I personally am not too keen on but the fish was very good quality. We will definitely visit again, possibly in an evening to check out the atmosphere
We had booked in advance a table for 6 as we had friends over from Chester for Sunday dinner, the food was amazing, we had the rare beef and had the most amazing Sticky Toffee banana pudding which sounds weird but it’s the best I have tasted for a long while, our service was great and was well looked after, sorry forgot her name but she did a great job considering how busy it was, the menu is great as it has something for everyone but not to big so you know the food is fresh and good quality, we also have a lovely meal in the week

Second meal in a month, good value two or three course set menu, specials of the day and bar menu. Short rib beef shredded under a crispy potato carrot and greens and pea shoots with tasty jus. Parsnip soup.

Great surroundings and looked after by a friendly helpful team. Very tasty food that is reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend and will visit again in the future. Thanks for a lovely meal!
Have been here for breakfast and Sunday lunch over the past few months. Absolutely fantastic both times, highly recommend this gem of a place
Nice atmosphere and good menu. They have Timothy Taylor Landlord on tap which is ideal for me. On my last visit the table service didn't seem great. We were never offered second drinks, we had to ask. The staff member may have been new and in training, which is fine, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.
We attended for a New Year's Day meal with friends. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. We opted for the Sunday Roast options and were not disappointed. Every element of the meal was cooked to perfection. Can not wait to return soon.
