I have been here before, and had a good experience on both occasions. I love how different the decoration of the terrace is. This is the perfect place for a few drinks with nibbles. I can not recommend the French Fries with Truffle Oil enough. It was our favourite. The hummus and bread were lovely, too. The staff were very nice and the whole environment was very pleasant. I will definitely be back.
Boro Bistro is a peaceful haven set in the hustle of Borough Market. Tucked away next to the south shoulder of London Bridge - it’s serves up a selection of French-led small plates. There’s nice eclectic seating outdoors but we chose the quirky interior. This is an English summer for goodness sake! The table ordered pull pork burger - which looked succulent. We ordered crab cakes - pretty good / perhaps a little over fried? The prawns were tasty and messy. Also a classic beef burger which was on the right side of medium. Service was friendly and overall, the vibe was chilled. All in all, a great spot for an informal meet up with friends - summer or winter.
It was great, the food the atmosphere. Beyond reasonable prices for the food you get and for where it is. The video might not be everyone's cup of tea cause it's the way to the bathroom and it was quite dark but nevertheless i thought it was really cool hence the video. But most importantly the food was delicious! Food: 5/5
Friendly staff. Loved sitting outside but also loved the ambience inside and the toilets. You need to go here just to visit the loo! Really unique and I would love to have a birthday or dinner event here. A very special place.Food: 5/5
Lovely little place right next to burrow market. Food & service was great , also the facilities were a must see very interesting decor.Food: 5/5
Had a very pleasant lunch at Boro Bistro today! The restaurant itself is cozy and a bit of a jazzy/boho style, quirky but comfortable. There is also outdoor seating with heaters and blankets, but as we had 2 babies today we opted for indoor seating, and we also booked in advance. We also had 2 high chairs for the babies, and space for 2 prams to park nearby. Staff were super kind and friendly with our baby and kept coming to say hello - she was soaking up the attention! The food was really delicious. The portions are a tad small, but reasonable given the prices - suppose they are called small plates on purpose! Our favourite was snail, padron peppers, the cod and the barley risotto. The beef had an amazing mushroom sauce but was a tad chewier than what we would have liked. Mulled wine was superb, like straight out of an Xmas market! They have a baby changing table near the toilets at the bottom, however they would need to walk down steps of stairs. The place is really central near the Borough market but a bit hard to get to if you cannot use stairs. It is technically step free with ramps, but not easy with bigger or a double stroller. Overall we had a really great time here, would absolutely recommend. Vegetarian options: There are some delicious vegetarian options but not a lot, and mainly sides. Kid-friendliness: Offers high chair and nappy change area, but would need to go down steps of stairs. We requested few items eg. sweet potato wedges without salt for babies and they were happy to help Wheelchair accessibility: Might be hard navigate around Borough area without stairs. Has ramps to the place. I'd say a bit tight for wheelchair indoors, but outdoor seating should be fine.
Beautiful ambiance with plenty of outdoor seating. Service is friendly and pretty timely. All of the food was well prepared, but the standouts were the Rosemary Camembert, the Lamb Chop, and the French Fries with Truffle Oil. A lot of vegetarian options as well. Would recommend for a relaxing lunch.Food: 4/5
We arrived and the girl said they had no table available. We made a booking on the website and then she accepted us. Half of the place were empty. They gave us a table inside in a little dark corner. We ask and they guy change us nicely. Food needed more salt. Kinda expensive for what it is. Not going backFood: 2/5
A best kept secret just off Borough Market. We have eaten at Boro Bistro multiple times. French small plates are delicious and well priced. Shabby, quirky decor is fun! Nice staff. Be sure to book in advance Food: 5/5
Lovely outside sitting area, inside it's a little dark though. Really delicious food, best truffle fries I've ever had and really tasty, juicy prawns. The small plates really are quite small but still, they're reasonably priced considering the area. Lovely cocktails too at good prices. Cool quirky bathroom.Food: 5/5
