What a lovely experience I had. A typical English pub situated at the banks of Thames River serves amazing food and drinks.. The atmosphere inside is worth all the hype that this place has. The fish and fries that I had along with calamari were undoubtedly one of the best that I have had. Strongly recommend this place for people looking to experience the vibe of an English pub.
This is one of my favourite watering holes, it's a great pub with a good selection of real ale, larger and cider on tap as well as a good wine list spirits are available in abundance as well Tony the "Governor" is a lovely fellow been here for years and the place is better for it. Food is good too, nice menu catering for all tastes. A word about the service It's brilliant staff are really good, friendly professional and always on the ball. All in all I highly recommend the Thameside.
Great views over the Thames!! Yummy food, however could have been a little warmer. Drinks came very quickly and the service was very efficient - you get table service but order through the QR code. Would recommend, prices good, and great location!
I Met friend for lunch there. We sat on the Outdoor area facing the River. It was a great time. We ordered our Sunday roast and drinks at the bar. Staff was friendly, food was good, but the veggies could have been better prepared. I had Beef roast and for the price paid I got on 2 very thin slice of beef...... disappointed. But the place is busy, located next to Borough Market,by the Thames and with great view. We were on the Outdoor area, where they havegiant parasol and heaters, so is really helpful for British weather. This was the second time I have been there. Is a7min walk from London Bridge station.
Beautiful old tavern with a patio and large interior. Service was friendly and quick. The ocean fish and chips were good - fish was amazing, chips were a little dry and the scampi was ok. Mushy peas could have used a lot more seasoning though. Salmon and dill fish cakes were great! But the potatoes also could use more seasoning. Landlords platter had an assortment of bar snacks/appetizers including beef croquettes, chorizo, fried chicken thigh pieces, peppers, Mac and cheese bites and sauces. Mac and cheese bites could use more seasoning, otherwise it was fine.
The cocktails where so good! The setting was stunning, the food was average, the nachos where good but everything else was a little lacking and the padron peppers where just cold un-cooked peppers with salt on top, the calamari was cold without lemon or aioli, the chicken was just chicken, would go again but expect basic pub grub.
Had the seafood platter. Was really lovely and and fresh. The crumbing and batter crisp and tasty. Staff were great. Top it all up my table was outside and was just a great calm experience. The empty plate says it all .
Great spot to have drinks and lunch. Try to find a seat outside on a lovely summer day and get a great view of the river's comings and goings. Their pies are excellent as well.
Dined with two kids for lunch on a Saturday. Place was fairly busy, but service was good and food came out quickly. Everything ordered was great and this turned out to be my daughter's favorite meal of the trip.
Welcome was good and explanation of how the service operated. Booking originally was straightforward. Beer choices excellent along with all spirits you can think of. Fabulous views over the river and buzzing area next to Borough Market. Food and service pretty good considering such a large and busy place. Most enjoyable for our group and will return again.
