This is an old-school traditional pub down just across from Borough Markets. There is a small indoor seating area so be ready to stand or have your drinks outside if busy. Nice environs, a fun place to grab a drink in the area. Stopped here for a quick lunch recently, drinks were just fine. Didn't care much for the fish and chips however. Fish was quite tired, dry and chewy, not a very nice fillet. Served with French fries instead of proper chips as well. On the whole, not a great fish and chips order. Would give it a pass next time and just enjoy a pint or two at what is otherwise a quaint little pub in the London Bridge area.
We were visiting the shard and saw this place recommended online. I loved the old pub atmosphere and the food was good. Service was on point with the waitress being super friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5
Great little pub tucked away in Kings head yard. Great happy hour prices £5 a pint. Always use this place when visiting SE London for the football. Great staff and good atmosphereService: 5/5
Not sure I should be posting this as the kings head is a fantastic gem of a pub just off borough high street. Well known by sports fans and locals but never as busy as the obvious haunts on the high street. Staff always very friendly, helpful, and most importantly observant; quick to spot a punter in need amongst a crowd . Excellent selection of beers too and cool architecture. Watched the 2003 RWC final here too. Can't praise this boozer enough
Great little pub next near London Bridge. The manager and his staff were so lovely they put the Australian Open on for us to watch Sinner vs. Medvedev. They were very accommodating, food was reasonably priced and the service was great. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Loved this pub. Great refuge from the madness of London Bridge and borough market. Beautiful stained glass windows, chill no nonsense vibe but cosy nonetheless. Had one of my favorite alesproper job IPA. And they take cash!!!!Food: 5/5
I wish I could give this place 0 stars so I can keep it a secret. This pub is everything you would want beautifully maintained old pub great atmosphere and good beer
This pub is right out of the Victorian Era of London. It dates back to 1888. It's decor is cozy and homey. We were there at Happy Hour. It wasn't too crowded. There is seating outside for those who want. There is also seating upstairs. There is a nice view of The Shard. The restrooms are on the ground floor. Very friendly staff. A pub to admire!
Little hidden gem up the alley. Popped in for a couple beers. Very locals vibe. Good humor and fun. Great beer.Service: 5/5
Tucked away on a side street off borough high st is this rather charming pub . Charming in the sense that it's a no nonsense establishment with a great happy hour between 5-7pm . The radio was on at my time of visit and the patrons were a mixed bunch. Harvey's ale was served in good condition. I can see why it's so popularService: 4/5
