What lovely staff were working yesterday Sunday 7th April 2024, nothing was a bother and they went out of their way to be helpful. Never seen them before so maybe they are new to that branch.... don't always get that efficiency and professionalism here unless the tall kind young man serving !!!
I thought my local Boots was the worst one, but this is a close second, nipped in to quickly buy something. Every staff member behind prescriptions counter, two seemingly searching for one thing. Not an unreasonable reason to wait. But then I was ignored while they served someone that had come in after me, it was hotter than hell and I decided not to bother waiting any longer.. I’m not surprised they’re closing down everywhere, I’ve already switched to another pharmacy for my prescriptions, seems I need to do the same for shopping too.
I went to get my prescription after waiting 5 days for my doctors to send it to be told I had to wait as it has just come through. I explained I was in a lot of pain due to me having endometriosis and did need it asap and couldn’t come back another day. They said I shouldn’t have waited without medication for 5 days like it was my fault, which it wasn’t, it was the doctors receptionist. The pharmacist then went on to tell me I should have the coil fitted instead. I have had this condition for 27 years and I think I know what works by now and when I’m standing sweating profusely and obviously in pain, I really don’t think your ‘advice’ is appropriate! After waiting my prescription was basically thrown at me without even a glance in my direction. I went home in tears. Rude staff with absolutely no care or empathy I won’t be going back!
Normal Boots store...not huge. Pharmacy here. Expect a wait... UPDATE:- regularly closed at random times. Went today for prescription, but couldn't collect as store closed due to unforeseen circumstances.....a regular reason. 15:45hrs. Went back later 16:30hrs...Still shut. Lights on. Staff inside? Going to have to change pharmacy's I think.
Pregnant daughter went in yesterday to collect her 'Emmas Diary' pack - got told again that they had none - however an off duty member of staff who happens to know my daughter was in the store and informed her that they did actually have some upstairs but were refusing to hand them out and could go and get one for her if she wanted - member of staff said she wasn't allowed and then got defensive - proceeding to talk about my daughter with another colleague and making her feel uncomfortable and stupid. Given these packs are meant to be FREE and given out to pregnant women - and the staff are meant to be professional - I am disgusted. They should be ashamed
Took a prescription to express delivery and after queuing with no staff attending , I was received and told it would be 20 minutes! I wandered round North Shields and after 25 minutes returned. Lots of people were hanging around and no one was being served. 10 minutes later I was told the prescription was being checked Another 10 minutes and I asked again to be told there were people in front of me and it would be another 20 minutes. I left in disgust as parking running out. I will have to go back again today !
Staff are very helpful and try their best at all times. However trying to get full quite urgent prescriptions from doctor can be frustrating. On a number of occasions have not had enough medication and have had to return the following day. Occasionally returned the following day to say that warehouse have not sent through. As I have said it is extremely frustrating and the poor staff must be fed up with having to explain situation.
Boots are terrible! Full of attitude un friendly, medication is never ready on time or it goes walkabout with no explanation as to how or why. There's about 7 to 10 staff in there and yet they still can't get prescriptions right. Trying to ring to sort medication out and they either ignore or take the phone off the hook. I made over 100 calls in 1 day and still didn't get through. All that staff and not 1 can answer the phone. Maybe instead of all hiding in the back and ignoring calls you should actually answer the phone and help people with their quire's. Attitude is awful too. Especially the tall guy with the beard, you'd think I'd killed his dog the way he acts when you ask for your medication. I'm so glad I've changed chemist's. I have no problems now
Hardly any staff to ask for assistance or buy things. Medication order was wrong and no explanation as to where my medication was! Staff from office upstairs came downstairs at peak time to ask dispensers stupid questions about the computer log in's while they were dealing with customers and medications. Even though staff said nicely to wait the office staff persisted they're questioning. ONLY 3 helpful staff, the rest are useless.
Que was hour wait at around 3pm. I went in eventually and they said they were closing at 4pm, i told them they better go outside and tell poor people that were waiting as long as i was!!!! Then they were like headless chickens trying to find my perscription. They need better organization for sure
