Please parcelforce and Royal Mail, can you make it slightly easier to obtain your parcel from the post office. Other carriers provide automated lock boxes out of hours collection live parcel divert etc. Where as my builder is unable to collect a tap that was late on its delivery and diverted to the post office. Even though he had the sorry I missed you collection card and a photo of my ID. I understand security issues but this type of collection hasn’t changed since I was a kid and you need to move with the times.
Staff serving customers deliberately slow which causes queues outside the door. No apologies for length of queue or a thanks for waiting. Self service machines constantly out of use. One of the most useless post offices in the county. Avoid at all costs.
Very moody member of staff behind the travel service till today 6th Sept 2022 around 12.30. I joined the main que as there was a big sign saying ‘you can get travel money from any till’. A till became free, I asked for euros and was told I had to go to the travel services till. Not wanting to push back in or rejoin a long que, I went and stood behind the lady currently at the travel service till. A good two metres behind her. The lady on the till, obese lady with brown hair shouts “don’t stand there, join the que over there” and then shakes her head like the world had ended. I explained I had been stood in the que for ages and was told I need to come to this till. ‘I hate people standing there staring at me, I can only work so fast’ A very polite lady from another till saw what was happening and called me over to serve me. I was very grateful to her and gave the obese lady the finger with my hand in my pocket to not upset her further
Stuck in 70s. Do not get your passport done there. Complete joke
So today I had to go to Faversham post office which I totally dislike doing to renew my Driving Licence as mine had expired, i was dealt with a lady with Dark Hair who clearly does not know what customer service is. I was told to walk to the booth to take my picture , Whilst taking my Picture I was told to don’t move , stand still don’t move my head don’t smile, close my mouth move three strands of hair on my forehead which where above my eyebrows, told to stop blinking, she then expressed with an attitude that it won’t focus so stood in the booth for about 10 minutes . like it was my fault. Trying not to blink whilst bright lights are on you for 20,30 seconds is hard, and what does not make it any better is the fact there is a vile woman with a attitude speaking to you like your nothing. I was then told that she took one but was too light, as She had said to me that I blend too much in with the white back ground and was not good... again like it was my fault. !!! All I can say is to the post Office, when you recruit don’t just drag people of the street that have no empathy, and certainly no customer service skills. I know this is not the only instance this rude behaviour has happened as many people I have spoken too have also expressed there anger at the staff that work in the Faversham Post Office. It was so much better with the previous staff that worked there, Since recruiting these relatively new staff it has gone downhill, I will always try and avoid using this Post Office. If I was a Secret Shopper today I most certainly would be putting this on Social Media as this has to stop. Treat people with respect... Will the Post Office take note of this?,” probably not “... but this needs to be addressed.
There doesn’t appear to be any urgency with the staff. Despite the queue snaking out of the door, there is often only one cashier working and they are very slow.I have been standing in a queue for 40 minutes, with somebody with a back problem this is complete agony, when somebody came in for foreign travel money. I was next in line but the cashier beckoned them over, so effectively they queue jumped, I felt so agitated by this. If the cashier knows the person, we in the queue, are subjected to their gossip, Who has died? What happened to Uncle Franks cat? and what are you having for dinner? This is very infuriating. I find my self sighing heavily when this happens. Please, Please, if Faversham post office read this, please make your visitors mundane visit to a post office be a little bit more enjoyable.
Been to 3 other post offices, all have been able to do what I asked of this one, apparently they can’t. Clearly either the post office isn’t training people or staff just lazy. Lady behind the counter was rude, sarcastic and clearly hated her job. One star unfortunately I can’t give less
Faversham Post Office barely deserves 2 stars ! I've given them 2, ONLY because there's 'usually' a floating member of staff, who helps with the self service machine's.....when or if they're working ! Otherwise I'd award them 1 STAR ! In the 5 years I've had to use their services, I've rarely had an acceptable experience let a lone a good one ! My worst visit to date was when their largest middle aged woman was serving and I had the misfortune to have to deal with her. She was outright rude and almost insulting because I'd had the audacity to go to her window before I'd been called ! She shouted at me to return to the queue until 'she' was ready to call me over ! She gave me the worst glare with it. I should have complained there and then but was too shocked and embarrassed. It's rare that they have more than one person serving, even though there's 4 or 5 counters. There's always a queue and often a substantial one because there's only one serving ! They're incredibly SLOW and look and sound VERY miserable. Since there's been a separate queue for foreign exchange...which gets priority WHY ?!....their poor service has deteriorated EVEN further. On my last visit I had to join a queue with 4 others infront of me, with one woman serving. It took AGES to get to 2nd in the queue because she had to sort out some US $ for one customer, which took FAR too long. Then in walks a young couple who lined up in the separate queue for foreign exchange. Bearing in mind I'd been waiting for a minimum of 10 - 15 minutes by then, I wasn't going to be delayed even more by 2 queue jumpers, which is how I viewed them ! I politely told them that they'd need to join our queue ! But just as they were reluctantly about to, the server became free and encouraged them over ! I was SO angry , as well as the man in front of me. This is NOT fair practice OR good customer service at all. Profit over regular customers ! Since then I've done my best to use the smaller but far more friendly and efficient Post offices in the area.
Rarely do you get good customer service at this post office. The last time I used this office, I was sending a rather large parcel, and some of the sellotape had become detached, and wasn't tacky enough to stick back down. I asked the middle aged man with spectacles behind the counter if he could spare a little sellotape to stick it down again, to which he replied, "sorry, but we don't supply sellotape, you will have to buy a roll". Bearing in mind, the cost to post parcels with the post office is a rip off anyway mine was going to cost over £20 to post I thought his attitude just added insult to injury, and was extremely mean spirited. Most of the time, you have to wait in a long queue, because the MISERABLE staff take an age with each customer, especially customers they know. So when it comes to your turn, the last thing you need is to be met with the most unhelpful and miserable people to serve you. Some of these people need to realise that there is plenty couriers out there competing for business, and much cheaper too. With the monopoly Royal Mail, and The Post Office has on infrastructure, there really is no excuse for their extortionate pricing. No wonder the whole organisation is going down the pan, and when faced with RUDE, UNHELPFUL staff, who obviously don't take any notice of customer feedback, then one wonders how they exist at all. Needless to say, I send parcels via competitor services now, as it is always cheaper, and a whole lot more convenient. I can drop parcels off at local drop off shops, right up until 9pm. So it's a no brainer. Royal Mail/The Post Office need to realise that times have moved on, if they WANT to survive.
Big queue more staff needed person who served me very pleasant and some one kindly picked up my walking sticks for me as l was very weary after standing so long.
