Had a operation at The Chiltern Hospital and the staff was amazing. The hospital was clean efficient and the food was amazing. The anaesthetist was fantastic very supportive and explained everything in detail. My consultant/surgeon Mr Appleton was brilliant from the very beginning to end. He explained everything in great detail and was always there when I needed him and he rang me when I was at home to make sure I was feeling ok Can’t thank him enough for his amazing work. Best hospital I’ve ever been too very relaxing and in lovely grounds
Not good service at all making appointments. Wrong appointments given, long delay in getting an important appointment, 2nd ID created for me why? with all the wrong details so I didn’t get correspondence sent to me, forms lost, long delays in answering the phone, numerous telephone messages left by me were never answered etc. I did get an apology when I was at the hospital which was good and the actual care I received on my last appointment and other appointments at the hospital itself was very good so my gripe is mainly on trying to make appointments. For example, it is rather annoying to be waiting 15-20 minutes on the phone for a reply only to have to listen to a message while I’m waiting telling me how good Circle Health Group is and how “good enough is not good enough for us ….”.
I was NHS funded to have my hip replacement surgery at the Chiltern. Excellent staff - very understanding and efficient. Always took the time to listen and to explain things. Food really good - lots of options. Comfortable and clean room/bathroom. No rushing just calm and gentle care. Can't fault them and highly recommend The Chiltern Hospital!
NHS Funded TCH for my knee surgery Had a call 25th October for surgery 29th, short notice but :D so happy. Doctor Krishnan is amazing as is all the team. Nice hospital - patient care I cannot fault. My stay cannot fault. In fact nothing to fault. Lovely nursing team - so lucky to have had my surgery here. Now my first Hydro today. Thankyou so much everyone at BMI Chiltern Hospital. To add the food was great with good choice of food. Rachelx
Dated cold ward rooms especially the bathrooms with very poor soundproofing on doors so bedrooms are noisy. VERY poor control of medical data: have had to tell them many many times that they have a fictional doctor listed as my GP, yet even after an official complaint raised and supposedly resolved the GP details are still wrong - what other medical data have they got wrong, you wonder? Some of their consultants are excellent, though.
We recently saw dr kamal sawhney for our daughter. He was nothing short of incredible. I have never met a dr that is so caring and listens to parents and takes the time to look at the whole picture and get the relevant information. He was so warm and kind and put my child at ease straight away. Thankyou so much i cannot recommend him enough. If you want a dr to help your child with asd or adhd he is definatley the dr for you.
My Mom had a half knee replacement at the Chiltern Hospital. She had a wonderful experience the nursing staff were excellent. She was well taken care of and all her needs met. The food was top quality and the room extremely comfortable.
Went in this morning for my knee operation, first time having any procedure. I was very well looked after from arriving to leaving. The staff are amazing, very helpful and funny. They put me well at ease, they all had time for you and explained everything. The food was very nice and they even brought my wife some food as well, very kind and thoughtful. The hospital is set in very nice grounds, and is very clean and inviting inside. Thank you so much for looking after me.
I was referred to Mr Majithia as a self-paying patient, paying up front. In the initial consultation Mr Majithia provided reasonable care, although ended up recommending solutions I have previously tried based on previous consultations with doctors. I was relatively disappointed that there wasn't a better outcome from the appointment, but it happens and I quickly let it go. What followed has been a continuing nightmare though, that has caused great stress and taken a toll on my health. Mr Majithia or his office has been continually trying to bill me for varying amounts both directly, through the Circle Group insurance, and my own insurer for amounts I do not owe. Every time I have disputed, provided proof and asked for itemised breakdowns of the supposed charges only to be met with a new amount attached to an unfounded claim with no breakdown. After months of back and forth involving many parties and much stress for me I thought the situation had finally been resolved. Only for my insurer to contact me about a new even greater charge for an unspecified service from Mr Majithia. I believe it is my duty to warn people of this behaviour as this additional stress on someone already seeking medical help may have dire consequences for them.
I had total hip replacements - left and right - 9 weeks apart. The first operation was self-funded and the second was funded by the NHS under their 'Choose and Book' scheme. Both were performed by the same team, in the Chiltern Hospital. The operations appear to be very satisfactory The second was only a couple of days ago. The hospital is very pleasant, private rooms nice, and every member of staff was most kind. Recovery monitoring and help were most thorough. My consultant/surgeon was Mr Mann, who was very confidence-giving, direct and friendly. He, and his admin staff, helped manage communication with my GP practice, and the booking of hospital appointments, etc. The self-pay package really was all-inclusive and very straight forward, but NHS funding for my second operation was hugely appreciated.
