This is a great zoo with lots of well looked after animals that all have plenty of space to move around in unlike some zoo's. The zoo is spread over a large area and seems well maintained overall. They are in the midst of building a new Elephant house near to the entrance so the day we visited there was only one elephant in the current enclosure but other than that there was plenty to see and do. Prices of food, drinks etc seemed reasonable too and there is plenty of access for disabled people around the zoo. There are plenty of toilets on site around the grounds and a reasonably priced car park too. Buses also go directly to the zoo from Blackpool. All in all a recommended family day out.

This is one of my favourite places to visit. The enclosures are clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and know plenty about the animals they care for. The animals look pretty content. A lot of the money raised goes straight back into conservation. It isn't as money grabbing as other zoos. It's a top day out!

Fantastic day out for all the family. We hit on a really nice day in late October and the place wasn't overly busy. Buy your tickets online and get a discount also worth including meals at a cheaper rate. Talks and shows were good. Friendly staff.

We really enjoyed visiting here. Wide range of animals. They have walk in enclosures, a barn where you can see farm animals and dinosaur land. We also loved the giant tortoise, you don't see them that often so it was nice. They have several options for food and drink. Indoor and outdoor play areas.

Well worth a visit. Loved the cheeky monkeys that you can walk through. One of the few zoos that has an elephant. And weird but wonderful to see wolves. The bird show was fantastic. And the sea lion show was really funny.
